I really, really, really, really HOPE that the midfield gives him the chances he warrants. He's a class act in front of goal, but he needs the chances. Cureton has joined us on loan from Norwich and he has scored 2 brilliant goals that he has created himself. He's been basically feeding off scraps - this is a player who has scored over 200 career goals. Now, I know Ward has pace to burn, but he is going to need to the supply lines to be in top form. What would everyone think of Cureton and Ward up top with Macken just dropping off behind them? Thoughts? Of course, I'm presuming that Ward will sign...
need a creative midfield first JCR and Disco yeah... they whip crosses in but they usual come to nothing because our front line has the average size of an ant. Anderson and Colace, decent players but don't create too many good opportunities. morale of the story: ball to feet = win.
