we don't deserve a football team!!!! 35000 at Wembley in Y2K, 28000 in the Millennium in 2006 and some of the best football we've seen since 1997 being played at Oakwell - how much more do the public of Barnsley want? How can we spread the word brothers and sisters???? Perhaps the people of shitfield may start deciding to come and support the big club up the road in Tarn? There's no other place in the world like Oakwell when it's full and singing. What a night!!!!
Really Disapointed With The Crowd Tonight Anything under 10,000 in the home ends is piss poor with that standard of football. Burnley will bring 3,000 next home match I reckon and so there should be 14,000 in attendance.

We won't The Barnsley public are not backing their team. It's heartbreaking. Every 'fan' I ever speak to all has some excuse or another for not watching us. Yer can bet you're life they'll all be there if we get success this season! Bloody glory hunters.
Wait till we play the pigs when the plastic reds come out in force i'd charge the flipers 50 quid to enter oakwell for derbys the true reds know who they are, shame the folk who talk the talk.
Unfortunately once people get out of the habit of going it's very difficult to entice them back. Matchday prices are so high these days that casual fans without season tickets will just pick their games, usually local derbies. I wasn't surprised at the low turnout tonight because it was the second home game in four days. I agree it's very disappointing and the club and it's players certainly deserve better at the moment, but Barnsley is I'm afraid a poor town.
Barnsley have not had big crowds since the miner strike Evewn the season we got promoted to the Prem, the croawds were only the same as now. Its nothing new.
If perchance we get promtion, we'll get the glory boys back; declaring they have been watching the Reds since Tommy Taylor was in short trousers.
I'd be amazed if there was less than 12 in on Saturday and less than 10 in last night. Ponty and East Stand both looked pretty full
Not been funny mate ,but you are being totally unrealistic. Can't you remember the attendances under Wilson? You're talking about increasing our attendances by 60% Maybe if we are top 4 come April/May then 15,000 is likely. I do agree though, be nice to see people coming back as the team, the manager and the board deserve it. But it will happen a lot more slowly than most of us would like.
