Which I hope we do not. We need a complete overall of the club. The Don needs to retire, and we need some younger blood in to run and organise the club. We need to study how Wigan, and Cardiff run their clubs and their relationship with the supporters. We need more Family days out. In the lower division we need to get some bums on seats. We had 12500 on last family day, and atmosphere for us and players was great. We need to get youngsters getting in the habit of coming with parents foe a £1. Special deals for families. It is unfortunate that Patrick is after selling, but if so we need to get new investment. We could have our best players creamed off, but as for the others they need to stay because they want to. Contracts and money available will determine most of it. So lets look and invest in our academy lads. We have some good lads to pick from, and these along with the stalwarts left should form the basis of a good team. We will be on a more level playing field. If we can then produce a top four team fighting for promotion, then surely that has to be better than the first 2/3 of this season. We need to get the existing management team signed up, and then progress from there. Flicker is the ideal man to take us forward. I do believe a more energetic set up could have had most of the players on board now. We could have negotiated two contracts, one for survival and one for if we went down. The players would then have known where they stood. We cannot carry on with the existing set up which is not the best. Here's hoping that we survive, but here's hoping to a new dawn if we go down.
Thought we had already looked into the Cardiff matchday experience, but looking dunt mean owts gunna change, it is time for some change but doubt very much it will be anywhere near a complete overall. A few tweaks here and there maybees.
We need to stop firefighting from season to season, which means offering more than 2 year contracts. Try and get some continuity in the squad. And unplug the phone and broadband lines at Oakwell in jan to help stop us pissing our pants at the first sniff of a few quid for our best players.
