....needing a win to be certain of staying up will the club slash admission prices to try and fill the ground? The more I think about it the more I can see us either needing a win or relying on Southampton to do us a favour. We've two nailed on away defeats and Coventry's form is good enough for them to beat Millwall & Donny at home.
I really think it's going to go to the last day.
Will Don make it a tenner and say a pound for kids? I'm not holding my breath....

The only way around this would be to start putting a voucher in all local papers now and season pass holders bring a friend for a tenner/fiver etc - as Brighton have been selling 5500 tickets @ £30 since Thursday, so they would be due a refund!! Barnsley fans (all be it about 30 people etc) will already be buying tickets, so IF it's going to happen, we should do something NOW!!!

If we do confirm saftey in the next week the game is a dead rubber so no bugger will go anyway, so why don't we do a big offer now and get people to come, rather than another empty ground!!! People might buy stuff in the shop for the summer, sale items etc - we should give everyone a season ticket leaflet who comes in, saying how good a price a pass is - and the club needs everyones support NOW to keep us a championship club!!

Just tell everyone the pitch is theirs at the FT whistle and the numpties will flock in their thousands. Oh, and 'two nailed on away defeats'?? Are they like Blackpool away, where we had bugger all chance of getting 'owt?

that point at blackpool may be vital come the end of the season!! Can you not just reduce the ticket prices for the home ends against brighton?

Our record at Oakwell in front of big crowds or in ten pound matches isn't great.

Good idea but if we did get relegated with 15,000+ home fans there...

Wouldn't it be a bit of a PR disaster? The people who paid a tenner to get in would not come back in League One so the club could potentially lose a lot of money by reducing admission prices to then have no benefit. Looking from the club's point of view - it's a risk.
If we go down in front of 9,000 home fans - the stay aways will still not come back but at least we've managed to get a few £30 notes out of people and not had to pay big stewarding/policing costs .
If we go down in front of 15,000+ home fans all paying a tenner - the stay aways won't come back and we've got a huge policing/stewarding bill waiting for us so no benefit to the club.

I want Oakwell full every week and would love us to do these type of deals but can't see Don & co thinking the same way, especially in a match where we could get relegated to League One.
