Say what you like about Ritchie

He certainly did things on the cheap.

RE:Leeds Tyke - why all the conspiracy theories

Andy Ritchie and Rick Holden were happy with their set-up, otherwise they could have appointed some one else. Andy Ritchie and Rick are now history...PLEASE let's move on.

Simon Davey feels that he needs more help in his backroom staff, so he has appointed a coach with experiance, note the word experiance, something people have been shouting for. This surely demonstrates that the board are prepared to give Simon the backing to keep the club in this division.

Perhaps it is time for you to change the tune and support the club and team. As I have previously said a few wins and the season would look a lot better. Let's ALL give the team the support they need and stop the abuse they are getting (including the board, they are part of the team), get down to Oakwell and give them our backing.

If it goes wrong and we do get relegated, then I am sure you will tell me I was wrong. But until it is mathematically impossible to stop in the championship lets give them all our support.

    You'll never be wrong

Suggesting that we should support the team cannot be wrong no matter where we end up this season.

People are just very frustrated at the moment and after witnessing the last few performances I can see why. However, even though the initial signs haven't been good, I think it's far too early to be judging Davey as a manager. For one thing he's working with another manager's squad of players. Let's hope things turn around...

Well said owen! This is a positive move! The Board will not sack Davey even if we lose the next couple of games it wont happen! It is obviously not working for Davey at the moment and the only positive way forward was to get some experience in to help. I think the reality is that there will be more to his role than first team coach, he has much experience as an assistant manager and will probably be taking on a mentoring role for both Davey and Kidd.

    eh

Ryan Kidd is our Assistant manager. O'Halon will be 1st team coach. Two different jobs.

"How come the club were to skint to let AR have a coach and an assistant manager?"

Rick holden was Andy Ritchies assistant and he was offered Neil Redfearn and (probaly) other coaches to help him out but declined.

have you ever thought positively in your life? bet your a right misery

    Richard Kay?

    he does 'Treatment Room Tales'

think he is the physio although he is not new

Holden was the physio when he was here - as well as assistant manager and reserve team manager. A bit of a one man club really.

Ritchie tried to go it alone with Holden. It was his choice. When Ritchie brought his mate Barlow in to do a bit of work with the defence we had a big improvement for a couple of games. That should have taught Ritchie something. Barlow went back and then it was back to the "heads down no nonsense mind less footie" again. Ritchie failed to realise that in the modern game you can't function as a two man band. He had the chance to bring coaching staff in to the club. To use the old saying AR and RH were "jack of all trades and master on none". Davey is bringing in a coaching infrastructure into the club which we have been lacking in the last few years. This can only be to the long term benefit of the club.

a bit of discipline wouldn't go amiss, put a bit of starch in some of the lilly livered players spines.
