if we keep all our present 1st team squad in the Jan window....

ok I feel we will have some departures, but just for a moment lets assume we keep all the present squad. My question is this. How many new faces would we need/want and in what positions/areas. Again I realise its unlikely we will not keep them all, but have a think .

 

Morsy on permanent. End of.

His presence for the second half of the season is probably critical to our survival. Relegation would cost us £5M in turnover. Logically therefore, we should not part with him for less than 7.5 - 10M. But a club would have to be nuts to pay that for what would amount to less than half a season before they could have him for free. Conor can leave in the Summer and will owe us nothing. But there again....... he is a RED!

I said if we keep ALL our squad at present... Morsy is in the present squad, I said assume we keep them all. So what areas would you like to see added to ?

I was not snapping at you, it was a hypothetical question. I cannot get to the games nearly as much as I would like and so rely on the second hand opinions of the media, and the people on the board... also watch the matches when they finally go on player... which is a hard task when we have been beaten. But its never the best view from a tv camera... when you are at the match live you can see what the other players are doing and thus get a better perception of the team both on and off the ball. So my question was designed at asking where we need to look at in the various positions and areas . I guess I was asking is this... is the present squad we have capable of sustaining us this season or should we need to add.

 

Not sure that's entirely a hypothetical first question that you posed there DT.

And your second one seems to be a yes or no question, which is a bit limiting in terms of an expansive answer.
