..we'll lose a hundred or so seats because of the netting (or whatever it is) to segregate the fans. We'll also have to fork out for extra police, so even more of South Yorkshire's finest can watch the game. So we'll lose money down to those two problems. And, let's be 'reight, the 'Barnsley' half of the North Stand will be full of United fans anyway, so does it really matter? You'll all get a ticket (if you make an attempt to get one). The club don't care what we have to say about segregation, ticket prices, etc, so chill out and let's have some debate about how many the new keeper will concede tomorrow..
The barnsley half would be full of people supporting barnsley fans. What about the barnsley fans that like sitting behind the goals but wouldnt be able to get in the ponty? Theyd make some noise for us instead of 6000 away fans filling the stand that has the best accoustics in the stadium. And you never know, some of them might go to other games on the back of it. 100 or so lost seats isnt a lot of money after everyone from man utd to the FL take their share
Yeah and having supporters cheering on the players from all four sides of the ground would be a huge positive.
sod em is wot is say they woudnt have wanted to know if was scunny give em to 6,000 loyal man u season ticket holder i say
Disgaree. Split the North Stand, more home fans in (whether they're fair weather fans or not) brings more finance to the club.
how does it bring more finace in u losin out extra police and losing seats like what was said through nettin to seperate
It makes no difference. Barnsley, Manchester United and the Carling Cup all get a cut of the ticket sales, no matter how many are home/away fans.
But still home fans will pay to sit their as it's a 'big' cup game. Even if it's just 1,000 home fans in their it'll still boost sales won't it?
Yeah it's better to help out our own fans who might come back more in the future than giving more tickets to Man Utd fans who are only there for the one off game.
lol how many come bk after full house vs chelsea we averagin same as last season now maybe just a little more
RE: You think United would struggle to sell the tickets? nt Doubt it but i'd just rather think about our fans than theirs.
end of date m8 like i say they will be still man u fans in our end too i know quite a lot of man u fans from tarn whos wantin to goto match now but wont go again to watch us
If the games on Sky There is going to be more United fans in the Walkabout then both Barnsley & United fans in Oakwell
If it was up to me i would give all season ticket holders one ticket and the rest to man utd then the ground would be full of proper football fans and not just cnuts who want to go to see the champions for a one off it would be full of fans who go week in week out but i'm not going anyway so i don't care really .
