Depends also on entertainment value If we somehow managed to scrape enough points to stay up with a few 1-0 wins anf 0-0 draws but continue playing 4-5-1 and produce football of the quality of the last few games I dont think I will bother. (might need to improve the defence a bit for that to be realistic mind) If we stay up and are playing entertaining football - like we were at the start of the season then yes another £25 is fair enough.
that makes no sense they've already taken the biggest possible gamble by appointing a man with only academy experience to his name as manager
I'd pay double and bid for all 11 shirts at the Player of Season do. And I'd be bidding against Hartog and one or more of my prawn sandwich eating friends. Seriously, £50 for a child season ticket and under £300 for an adult, snapped them up, dont understand why more didnt.
Not sure if we are bothering next season no matter what happens. It is all getting a bit of a chore to be honest, even both kids are saying they might not be bothered ..... sad but true ! We will pick and choose the games we want to watch.....and that means anyone not just Barnsley !
I'll renew if we stay up but if not I'll not bother with a season ticket just pay on the gate for the few games I'll attend like Leeds.
I'd renew And pay another £25, I'd probably even stretch to £50. But I won't renew for League 1 dross at the same price as this season.
I don't think this thread is as innocent as people on here probably think it is It would not surprise me one bit if ideas for this thread has not come straight out of the board room The directors should know how much it is going to take to stay in this league before a ball is kicked If prices go up down or side ways the board should be there to explain why Threads such as these completely undermine Sheps standing at the club When the Big JD was in charge we built year on year OK, he hit problems in the last couple of years but on the whole it was progress year on year Watching Shep this does not seem to be happening However, the Big JD didn't have Ritchie to put up with
Reading the posts, I think that Tykeman has his answers
We are all very disillusioned as youcan see.

RE: Reading the posts, I think that Tykeman has his answers Seems faiely evenly balanced to me Tina. Some saying yes and some saying no. I can see why people are unhappy but I am pleased with todays signing and lets hope there are a few more to follow!
If this message board is read by the directors............MESSAGE Shep - get advice on running a football club i.e. a football director Pat Cryne - find an investor, someone that will share the burden
RE: If this message board is read by the directors............MESSAGE Agreed Nudger but I think it would be far easier to find a football director than an investor.
You've already mentioned the perfect candidate - JD himself.
Bring him back to work with the present board and teach them how to run a football club.

RE: Reading the posts, I think that Tykeman has his answers I like a number of others will be there whatever for as long as I am capable - but that does NOT mean that I am at all happy with what is going on or with the way the club is being run.
And I won't accept spin and deceit from the club and just take it lying down.

My thoughts exactly And I said this to JD while coming out of the ground a couple of matches back JD would be a good addition to the board Whether he would accept it is another thing Plus - PC has had his fallings out with JD According to what I've been told PC asked if he could help a few seasons back and JD refused You look at the stadium now and think..............JD built this and he's only got not much more than a corner shop compared to some directors in football
