I mean will we be a better club and as such fair better next term, as others flounder under the weight of wage bills and/or the culture shock of having to break even. I sincerely hope so.But if we do not become a higher flyer then at least I hope the break even stance that the FA/FL seem to have touted is adhered to.But being as they bunged Portsmouth the best part of a Million and allowed them to take on loan players does it seem as if they will hold firm with break even.

I think the majority of the high earners we have will be out of contract in the summer - so it should free up some funds.

It remains to be seen as to whether or not it is a buyers market when we replace them. I'd like to think so.

I only wish it were true DT. I've heard nothing on the FFP rules actually being accepted and even if tehy are, losses will still be allowed to be bankrolled by owners/benefactors.

How will the rules (IF they come in) affect teams relegated from the Premier league. They're guaranteed £48 million each over 4 years.

How can teams breaking even begin to compete with that?

Also losing players like Foster, Hassle and Jim O'Brien, won't inspire ST sales

Lets face it we aren't going to attract many new ST customers, existing ones will be concerned that the 3 players mentioned are experienced players who will no doubt be part of the higher wage earners, and in my opinion would be missed.

In a level-playing-field league we will still be the poor relations as our income will be determined by our small (and reducing) fan base. That's why the price structure introduced this season is so short-sighted. The departure of Steele, Foster and Doyle will do nothing to help stem the flow of departing ST holders.

Where does it say Steele, Foster, JOB and Hassell are leaving? Have I missed something?
