Do we reckon it will be a big night out in tarn afterwards? What with it being a Sunday and everything. Reason I ask is I've a mate coming a long way and easiest thing to do is fly in and out of London but he is quite keen to celebrate if we win and so looking at staying in Barnsley and staying over. Thoughts welcome. I might be wrong but I imagine it is going to be a long day and with work next day I imagine most folk might go straight home. PS I know this is depending on us winning lol
I wouldn't expect it to be a big night out. I remember getting back after winning the play-off final in Cardiff in 2006 and it not being all that lively. Although that game finished later and it was a long trip back, however it was a bank holiday weekend so no work the next day. I am sure some people had a different experience of that night though as I think the players turned up later on. There will never be another football fuelled celebration night out like 26th April 1997, now that was something else !! Singing at the top of our voices in every pub.
Think it will be pretty decent in town if we win. There will be the remnants of some who have been out all day to watch it on tellybox, and i will certainly be having an hour or 2 when i get back bout 10ish fron Donny.
I won't be leaving London til 7.30pm so any celebrations (please) will be at St Pancras, on the train, and in the Sheffield Tap, with a 16 yr old who has school the next morning, in tow. That said, I've been to Wembley 6 times, and never has a team I've been supporting won. :-(
I wouldn't of though so for 2 reasons; - I would imagine some are going to London for the saturday Day/night drinking then to the match on the sunday then home like myself. - Its bank holiday weekend the week before so should imagine a lot of people will be out that weekend instead making the week after quieter.
