So for the Final 3 Games, should we play Fringe Players, see if good enough for next season.
Letherhan Van Homoet Foster Potter Nyatanga Devaney Togwell Leon/Howard Butterfield Christensen Macken
Just a though

I'm all for blooding younguns (Butterfield, Potter...) into the team, but not players that we're obviously getting rid of and havent been good enough all season. (Christensen, Letheren)
Christensen hasn't been good enough? he's plaed 189 minutes, earned us a penalty that in turn earned us a point and scored the equaliser at charlton. 189 minutes and two points earned by his actions, not a bad record.
Well, in the eyes of the manager then. We all know that he's not been given a proper chance to prove himself and when he has played he's looked decent. Players such as Christensen won't be making such an influence in the longer term.
Are you sure? It's a bit early in the morning for maths but by my reckoning we'd be 7 points clear and the sides below us would have 3 games left. Even where Sheff Wed and Leicester play each other they could still both get 7 points. We'd be nearly safe, I think. Which is not the same thing at all!
RE: Are you sure? We'd be 6 above Wednesday and 7 above Leicester. Would mean that, were we to lose our remaining 3 games - which I can't see happening if we beat Hull, then Leicester winning all their's (or drawing with dee dars) and Wednesday winning their other 2 (regardless of Leicester result) would put them both above us. There's also Coventry to throw into the equation as well. It's unlikely to have that combination - but was it Huddersfield a few years ago that went down with a strange combination of results - and from what a Huddersfield fan at work said it was the only combination that could put them down and he'd worked out the odds prior to it happening, he'd have won quite a bit had he put money on it. (One of those was us rolling over and dying at Portsmouth - one guy I worked with at the time never forgave me for that - as though I was in some way responsible!) I won't be entirely happy till we are mathematically safe....although feeling far more relaxed than a week ago.....just hope we wrap it up by this weekend.
Still doesn't make us safe Blackpool could lose to Sheff Wed and win their other 2. As ES says, very unlikely but as I said earlier that's not the same as safe.
Not mathematically, but as good as. Ideally, if we only pick up 1 more win, we need it to be against Leicester. But I would rather win tonight, lose gainst Leicester, and by doing so maybe we will have a big hand in sending dee dahs down. Or even better, just win all our games.
paul.d I'm surprised at you! You of all people! Go and wash your blackboard rubber out with carbolic soap!
No we are not 52 points is a figure we have all been saying for weeks may not be enough. If we lose our last 4 games we probably will still go down. Leicester only need one other draw, the fowls need 3 draws or one win as do Coventy. Southampton and Blacky need either a couple of draws or one win I wont relax unless we win tonight - though a draw helps as it means all the sides below need one more point I could believe we can go down on goal difference at 52 points 53 should be enough 55 definitely will be enough
Thankfully Simon Davey wasn't taking the same view last night. Another win should do it...if it's against Leicester then it will.
RE: IF we win tonight, I can relax for the next 6 months, knowing we put a massive spanner in the plastic tiggers promotion push.
i'd rather us continue to play the strongest possible team to the end of the season and aim for the highest league position possible, we can use pre season friendlies to give the youngsters a run out
