Think it's about time that a ruling was brought in about kicking ball out.....should only be the team whose player needs treatment that can put it out and make it so that the other team are not obliged to give it back.

I have to agree... I thought West Ham were hard done by. as soon as they gave the ball back to them the Liverpool players were straight into them. I think they should wait for the referee to decide, like in the good old days. This courtesy thing has caused quite a few problems. Can anyone remember when we beat Blackburn and they wouldn't give the ball back? Good old Dalglish eh?

West Ham kicked it out straight away as they figured that

Liverpool would throw it back to the goalie or out for a goal kick.

No one had been kicking the ball out until then.

    It backfired on them!

was that when we beat them 2.1 at home.before jack walker bankrolled them, they only used bring 1000 away fan's at best, but with dalglish in charge and all the expensive new player's they had they suddenly had 5000 arrogant tw*ts swanning round oakwell taking the p*ss,saying we had no chance and we would get hammerd by there super duper team.oh wel did'nt quite turn out like that did it,shearer(duncan not alan) give them the lead but randy cammell and mark smith gave us the win.rare highlight in machin's second full season in charge.

    Reds v Blackburn....

That's exactly the game monkeytennis sir. I seem to remember there was a bit of a kerfuffle up the tunnel at the end of the game. Their support was huge when you compared it to some of their previous turnouts. Mind you; they did bring about 3,500 when they had Steve Archibald playing for them one year.

What about Simon Garner? He was always a thorn in our side for Blackburn.

It was the season they went up in the play-offs.

The defeat at our place was part of a run of around 15 games they had without a win.

Only goal Duncan Shearer scored for them. I think they sold him at a massive loss at the end of the season.

Jack Walker took over at the start of the season , they bought Aggie for 750K. I am not sure he played 10 games for them though.

alway's thought duncan shearer was a good player when he played for swindon, but after his move to blackburn he just went downhill.i think tha reight about aggie he was alway's injured for blackburn i think he only stopped that one season, i think he ended up at leicester.

    Simon Garner...

I once took my wife along to Ewood Park and she singled Garner out by asking "who's that old fart? he looks fit to drop"... He duly scored a hat trick in a 5-0 trouncing.

this was my all time favourite Blackburn game

I remember being in the ground when the teeam was announced and the general concensus was Bassett is barmy -he's picked 6 defenders, vdl and barney midfield georgi and shipps up front

we then outplayed them-Georgi scored and laid the winner on for shipps-fantastic!!

Football League Championship - KO 15:00

Blackburn

  1 (0) - 2 (0)

Barnsley

Carsley 81(p)

RE: this was my all time favourite Blackburn game

Was that the game where there was a bit of mither outside the ground with the mounted police who were overzealous, to say the least, in the way they were handling the Barnsley supporters? It was a good day out, was that.

Another memorable one was Rambo's debut when we won 2-1 again.

    1 touch 1 goal quality ,

although getting trounced 5-0 under Clarke was amusing, especially when the fan ran up to the dugout to tell Clarke "it was time to leave"

    RE: 1 touch 1 goal quality ,

:pff I remember it well. For some reason Clarke appeared to be going round the bend. he used to pull one leg of his tracky bottoms and then switch legs throughout the game:(

    Horses....

There wasn't much bother, but the horses began crushing a number of fans against parked vehicles and a wall, and so about a 50-strong group successfully pushed the horse and its rider along the car park. I think the Barnsley Liaison officer stepped in to stop it by having a word with the Blackburn lot?

think this was the game that david tuttle made his debut for us and marked ashley ward out of the game, that goal by shipp's was a beauty.

    RE: Simon Garner...

that was the thing with garner, for most of the game you wouldnt know he was playing, but he would alway's be there at the right time to nick a goal.
