Leon will be our star player next season. Showed glimpses of his ability when Howard was injured and i think he's getting the grasp of the physical element of this division...with a midfield of JCR, Silva, Leon and a new Left sided player...i doubt we'll miss Howard that much...unless injuries are going to be as bad as this seasons.

I agree with everything you just posted

I have never known a set of more crazy fans than those that watch Barnsley.
In Howard we have one of the best players outside of the Premiership, yet Barnsley fans want to get rid and keep Leon, a player that has not ever proven himself at any club he has been at, scored only 5 goals in his career and yet apparently he is by far a better player than Howard.
    Un fecking believable !!!!!!!

I don't think that Howard is as good as people claim he is but I still know that over the course of a season we would be lost without him at the moment. Leon is a better player than Howard in some situations but for 46 games I know which one i'd prefer to have in the side.

Note: Odejayi is a better forward than Michael Owen in certain situations too. The problem is these situations come along once every 7 decades.

    I'm not sure

    many people underestimate Howard.

I dont think many people think overall Leon is a better player

I do think most are realistic in knowing that there is a good chance Howard will go in the summer if we get a good offer from a club Howard sees as a progression. Some think his departure is done and dusted and are speculating what we could do without him. Personally I'm not so sure but he's not irreplacable, no player is.

I dont mind him going as long as we get a good fee and a good replacement of the quality say of Da Silva in addition to a decent striker and winger.

    I agree Mark...

but it is no more stupid than the suggestion that an FA Cup semi final constitutes a poor season, or that Simon Davey should be sacked, that some people have advocated on here.

Losing Howard would be a disaster, purely for the sake of goals.

it would be interesting to see Leon and Da Silva

play together, both are quality in the ball and their first touches are superb but both need to score more goals

don 't get me wrong he has had a great season but in some fans eyes he can do no wrong even when he has played shi*e! Simply put when Howard plays well so does the team because the team is built around him but if he goes we'll miss his goals the most which I might add over half are from the penalty spot, but it would be interesting to see what the team would be like built around Leon and Da Silva?
