The badger cull is a perfect metephor for the Tories austerity policy.

"Right, we've got two options here lads but we're not quite sure which one will work. One of them causes huge amounts of suffering and pain, the other one is a bit more expensive in the short term but will more than likely achieve the same outcome in the long term. In fact it's probably more likely to work."

    "Option one. **** 'em, they're only badgers/people"

Well, given it's RSPCA link to lobby your MP - I guess you could just contact your MP directly to lobby them to support it.

Thanks to everyone that has signed. With regards to nightmare I suggest you try the Countryside Alliance or a site like that I'm sure they'll welcome your support.

Agree with that post ark104, I'm sure the work involved will be undertaken by Dave's like minded country chums. Maybe the ones who have trained recently for the cull are some of the blood thirsty lot from the hunting set. They can't get their kicks anymore from tearing foxes to bits so they might fancy the chance of shooting badgers to satisfy their sadistic urges. I dread to think how many badgers may only get wounded and end up dying a slow and agonising death.

Looking further into this if the cull does go ahead and then after a few years when it's proven it's had no success which will happen, I think the Tories will then push through the super diaries. Permission for these have been denied in the past but I think they'll use the results of a cull failure to push it through. I really do think this has a bearing on why they're doing the cull.

they tried it in Ireland and it has shown to make very little difference in the TB

was watching a prog about it the other night. They have now taken to vaccine instead.

That's the petition Brian May set up. If you can please click on the link to ask you MP to attend tomorrows debate as that is the last chance before the guns come out.

If the cull does start I think there will be a high risk of someone getting hurt, a protester getting in the way of shooting or a licensed shooter getting attacked.

The same result in every other country that tried it. I really do think they're doing it as they know it will fail so they can push through the intensive dairy farming scheme like they have in America. All plans made for these in the past have not gone through. That's just my opinion, I don't have any evidence that it is the case.
