"Simon Davey doesn't have the necessary skills required and he doesn't have the personality to learn by his mistakes." Windy the psychologist?? We are all disappointed, but for God's sake.........

RE: If you can trust yourself when all men dont you.... Well done Windy. Good job I know you can actually spell! All I'm saying is that extreme reactions to each performance, good or bad, are just a bit ridiculous. I also think it unfortunate that football management is one of the only professions (the only?) where people are apparently not allowed to make mistakes and (hopefully) learn from them. My view is that, whilst Davey has significantly strengthened the squad, he does seem to have a tendency to freeze individuals out. Whether his reasons are justified or not I have no idea. However, I have come across many examples of this in other walks of life where someone is trying to assert their authority as 'the boss'. This tends to diminish with time and experience, as people realise they can earn respect and loyalty using less confrontational means. Hope so, because the last thing Barnsley Football Club needs now is another change of manager.
