You can play 2 up front at the start of the game. Fair enough, Macken was injured, so why not replace him with a striker rather than a winger? Hume hasn't got the stature to play up front on his own, while Whaley didn't really know how to play the role that Hume has been playing recently. I thought Davey got it wrong today and gave United the initiative. He made some brave substitutions though and we really went for it.

The team battled hard and played well, Morgan should have been sent off for an elbow in the side of Hume's head, Kenny made an excellent save in the first half, Kozluk should have scored in the second and I think we can consider ourselves unlucky.

Whaley was neat and tidy but he offered nowhere near the attacking threat that Devaney and Campbell-Ryce can muster. A mistake to start him for me.

Sheff Utd have now lost Ehiogu for three matches and to be honest players like him are ten-a-penny. We, on the other hand, have lost Anderson De Silva our play maker and talisman and we've no one to replace him. It'll cost us a hell of lot more.

    Agree 100%

Thought the system was a strange move and it wasn't until Odejayi came on that we seriously looked like scoring. However, I still thought we played well and deserved AT LEAST a point.

    That ref though, oh dear.

    to be fair

even though I agree we should have played 4-4-2, we could and should have taken a point, possibly even all 3. Davey could argue his tactics were not too far off.
