Who would it be and how would you do it?

For example, I would hide a secret camera in Morrissey's shower and threaten to post the footage on the internet unless he reformed the Smiths to play at Islington Union Chapel. He would also have to persuade Johnny Marr and get over his hump with Mike Joyce.

I'm allowed to sit where I like and my +1 will be errrrmm.... Rachel Riley I think. And I want a cab home, it's not far - a tenner should cover it.

Oh, and they have to play 'This Night Has Opened My Eyes'. In fact I get to pick the whole set list.

Hmm, that's a conundrum (boom boom). Would definitely support you in your quest for The Smiths. Apparently Jonny Marr has siad he will reform them if Cameron and Osbourne step down.

Although it does always slightly worry me when bands reform. Got tickets for Stone Roses but I am a little concerned it won't live up to my expectations

Did you hear Morrissey's rant about the Falklands last week? Deleted his albums off my iphone after that stunt.

Oasis. People seem to think that they will definatily re-form at some point in the future but i very much doubt it. As for the stone Roses gigs this summer, anyone expecting an amazing performance will be dissapointed, theyve never been a good live band

Most of the bands I want to reform already have in some form or other - Alice In Chains, Kyuss, Soundgarden, Sleep.

I'd probably go for the original line up of Danzig when Glenn Danzig could sing or maybe Screaming Trees. Others can't reform for obvious reasons i.e Pantera and Death.

Two things: Firstly, having listened to his music, how were you surprised that his views would be anything other than that, and secondly, is it really worth deleting one of the best back catalogues in British music because you don't agree with his views on the Falklands?

To paraphrase, to an Argentinian crowd, 'don't blame British people over the Falklands, governments don't listen to the will of the people, we all know the Malvinas are part of Argentina' and gave out some 'Blame William and Kate' t-shirts

    Rem

Only been gone for a few months but still don't like the idea of never seeing them again. Earlier it would have been The Pixies by a mile, but they went and did it, and I still somehow managed not too see them. I think they still play now and again so I still hold out hope. On the same theme, I'd love to see Belly and The Breeders again.

    Re: Rem

So how would you blackmail REM into reforming? I can think of a few things.... But that's just the way my mind works.

I'd blackmail Bon Scott to not be dead any more and original AC/DC to play.

    Same goes with Phil Lynott.

To be fair, I only had 1 of his albums on my iPhone and according to iTune, I last played it 15/12/2010, so no big deal. Not deleted completely, just no ticked for sync. And you wouldn't believe, it's one of the few albums I actually own the original of.

    Re: Rem

I think they're on tour in America currently, I check their website every other day hoping to see some UK dates though, brilliant band. 'Doolittle' is one of my most played albums. To bribe them to play the UK, I'd tell Black Francis and Kim Deal that they never have to see each other again after the gig :D
