Think about what we now have in squad.

Tall striker. We look tiny in this league in comparison.

Probably a left back or a fast centre back..

The midfield is good enough, but we just have injury problems.

Got to be a LB, only position in the squad where there is no cover. Also, note to SD, Kozluk has got to start there. Only player in the squad who can play in that position at all.

Got to be a centre half that can run as fast as the opposition strikers.

If we stick with Moore and Souza we will get tonked by teams with mippy strikers. They have the turning circles of supertankers. But against big forwards that want the ball in the air, then we should be OK, just not a lot of teams like that this year , I reckon.

    A left back

And notan attack-minded wingback. Just someone who stays on his feet, has some pace but doesn't lunge in unnecessarily, and doesn't give away free kicks aroud thebox all the time- ie intelligence and judgement required.</p>

    Too right

Exactly what we need. And if we could play Steve Foster, our best centre half, at centre half, that would be great too. Then we could play one of either Hassell or Kozluk, two extremely competent right backs, at right back. And if we could play one of our many central midfielders in central midfield along side Howard we might actually give ourselves half a chance.

Basically, if we play players where they are meant to play then we'll be half way there lol

    Kozluk - Foster(c) - Souza - new left back

    JCR - Togwell - Howard - El H.

    Macken - Rigters

That has to be a side worthy of contention. Even Kozluk at left back and Hassell at right back for now is a vast improvement and I fail to see how Simon Davey can think that playing 3 or 4 players out of position every week can be better for the side.

Is there a reason for leaving out Hume? From what I gathered from people at the game, Rigters looked nowhere near fit and will be a few weeks at least away from having the fitness to start league matches.

No reason at all mate, I just took a wild guess at who should be up front and seen as he is the new boy I went for him. Would have to see them a few more times to know who was the better prospect in the short term.
