Do. It's a brilliant interview. It's almost impossible not to like this guy. Although I also thought that about Wilson, but that was not the case. https://audioboom.com/boos/3068186-...opes-ahead-of-their-meeting-with-chesterfield We all want Barnsley to do well and if we are, it doesn't really matter who the manager is. But if we're doing well and the manager is such a great bloke and talks so much sense, it's perfect.
I watched it on Player yesterday and felt exactly the same. He's such a likeable lad, and, he does speak with enough confidence that you can't help but feel positive about us moving into the summer and pre season etc. We've already tasted a winning run under him, and it reinvigorated a poor season for us fans. So like he says, if we're competitive next season and expecting to win every week with the squad of players he wants, the town/supporters will get right behind it and if we succeed, we'd have some great momentum to take into the Championship with us. A few if's and but's there like, but aye, I'm hopeful we've got a good manager here. But I will inevitably criticise him, it's what I do. I adored Danny Wilson, but I still voiced my concerns on here/twitter etc. Roll on next season.
I think he was bang on about us been a bit nice & soft centred. It seems a bit obvious he thinks the same as us regarding Cranie & Nyatanga when you read between the lines as in he'd like them to stay but it's going to have to be on reduced wages & if not we'll move on. I think we're two good wingers away from really challenging next season.
Had the privilege and pleasure to have a long discussion with LJ today. What he said makes sense and shows his passion for his job here, which so far he is loving. The more i hear from him the more I'm impressed. I like his ideas and honestly about his players today and also about some he is after for next season. Hopefully he can develop a squad from his model and we can see the success on the field.
Seems a greet bloke with a good vision and looking forward to watching us next season under him. The players he has brought in thus far are okish but you can't hold that against him given the last minute nature of it.
He says it how it is, without the pointless analogies like Flicker and Hill did, with the special human being and synergy ********. It's football at the end of the day, not science. Too many football managers talk in metaphors these days. I get the impression with some of them, if you can't blind them with science, baffle them with bull ****.
