Guess what they want for a Portugal shirt at Faro airport? €110.00. Best part of A HUNDRED POUNDS!! And I've been hearing all week what a poor country this is. Even on the Algarve there is plenty of shabbiness in the infrastructure.

The shirt was cheaper in one of the towns but still €79

It's one of the very few consistent things in life - no matter how wealthy/poor the nation in question is, football shirts cost a fortune. Lost count of the places I've been with work and thought 'I'll get the boys some replica shirts, they're bound to be cheap here' only to find they're the equivalent of a month's wages to the locals.

I was in Barcelona at the end of August and their shirts at the stadium were €120 and €150 with a name on the back.

    Last seasons were €80 still.
