If you were a good football player and is a Barnsley supporter, and was offered a contract in Liverpool, Man U, Ajax, Real Madrid or any other big club. What would you do?
RE: Id Stay With Barnsley I was suppose to have other options, but i pressed the enter button by a mistake. The other option are: Told the big clubs to F**k off, I play for Barnsley FC till i die
then run up to the kop and........... bend over, drop the shorts and give em a big moony
BFC4EVER tattooed across the cheeks

I would... Play my arse off for the Reds and love every minute of it. When my value got so high that Milan, Madrid, Man U etc were bidding, I'd make sure I had signed a long contract extention so that £20 million or £30 million would go into the club and I'd leave with a heavy heart to ply my trade elsewhere. I'd return for the last three seasons of my career to make sure everyone knew I was Barnsley through and through - and at that point I'd turn down anyone who made an advance. I'd have a sell on clause in my contract so that every time someone else bought me Barnsley would get ten percent, and I'd move regularly. lol. Two years in Italy, two years in Spain, two years in Germany etc etc.
What a fantasy.

Me too purest fanatasy ever.
Well apart from the one with the baby oil and most of the female cast of Hollyoaks

take it make some money. win the world cup as a barnsley born lad, rejoin the reds at 32, become chairman with my wealth also never ever wear an earring or be a pillock to the town like Darren Gough
RE: take it Why play for Barnsley just when you've just got 2-3 years left before retiring from football. What use would the club have for you then, becoming old and slow.
I think you've got to move on to a big club if you're good enough so you can achieve your potential and get rich, but once I'd finished at Man U or Madrid I wouldn't pi55 about with Middlesbrough or Wigan I'd just go back to Barnsley, get them promoted and then retire after a season keeping BFC in the prem.
Had this type of conversation many times at work, especially after Morgon went to Blades I said i would rather be on dole than pull either United or Wednesday shirt on I'd be like Francesco Totti, one club all my life, sat in dugout even when injured, loving it Would probably leave the well in my late 20's for a good fee and have 3 years with Inter then finish my career back home with reds.
RE: Lucarelli Cristiano Lucarelli played in a couple of other clubs before returning to his hometown club, Livorno. He actually payd Torino (then serie A) money to release him from his contract, so he could play for the club he support. Livorno then played in Serie B or C. And he have said no to go to bigger clubs not long ago That's a man with principles..
No I would play the best of my early years for my club. Then I would move to benefit my club financially, and sacrifice my enjoyment. I would hopefully bestow enough money on my club through my transfer to lift the club into the premier league. All my future contracts would be written to bestow further money on the club and help support BFC. I would then return to play for the club I would always dream of playing for. Only thing to add would be that I would have a contractual clause which meant I would never have to play against the reds. I think it would be selfish of me to stay at Barnsley if it meant that I left the club out of pocket to the tune of £40 million quid or more. Then I'd return in glory to win some silverware lol It's a dream.
