Had a good browse through championship and premierleague squads at fringe players that I feel would be realistic targets... there are plenty to go at! My three, doubt we'd get 1. Paul McShane (Hull) - Permenant deal 2. Ben Marshall (Stoke) - Permenant deal 3. Sylvain Ebanks-Blake (Wolves) - Loan Full list of possibles... Defenders Paul McShane (Hull City), Tommy Kennedy (Leicester), Danny Shittu/Bradley Orr/Clint Hill/Fitz Hall (QPR), Matt Killgallon/George McCartney/Ageleri (Sunderland), Craig Dawson (W.B.A.), Daniel Ayala/Adam Drury/Elliot Ward (Norwich), Shane Duffy (Everton), Matt Briggs (Fulham), George Elekobi/Kevin Foley (Wolves), Jon Flanaghan/Jack Robinson (Liverpool), Kyle Bartley/Gavin Hoyte (Arsenal), Orlandi (Swansea), Danny Collins (Stoke) Midfielders Jason Puncheon (Saints), Paul Anderson/Chris Cohen (N.Forest), Loyd Dyer/Frank Moussa/ Michael Johnson (Leicester), Jay Tabb/Brian Howard/James Henry (Reading), Lee Cook (QPR), Paul Green (Derby), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Ben Marshall/Tom Soares/Diego Arismendi/Salif Diao/Michael Tonge (Stoke), Fredde Bodde (Swansea), Jacob Mellis (Chelsea) Forwards Jay Simpson/Richard Garcia (Hull City), Martin Waghorn/Steve Howard (Leicester), Rob Hulse/TommySmith/DJ Campbell (QPR), David McGoldrick/Dexter Blackstock/Matt Derbyshire/Jonathan Forte (N.Forest), Ryan Noble (Sunderland), Roman Bednar/Simon Cox (W.B.A.), Snachez Watt/Craig Eastmond/Afkobe (Arsenal), Victor Anichebe/Jose Baxter (Everton), Mamdy Sidibe (Stoke), Sylvain Ebanks-Blake/Sam Vokes/Leigh Griffiths (Wolves), Nathan Ecclestone (Liverpool), Simeon Jackson (Norwich), Stephen Dobbie/David Cotterill (Swansea), Jamie Vardy (Fleetwood), Nile Ranger (Newcastle)
good to se you back jonny, just need to get realistic mate we're signing 1st and 2nd division players, not those worth £500k and more
Re: good to se you back jonny, just need to get realistic mate We cant even afford a freebie, let alone the likes of McShane! Until Doyle and Haynes depart (and Gray and JayMac would be a bonus) we will have to wait and see. A lot of those you name though, however suitable, are playing games, or out of our range. Its Aldi, not Waitrose remember. . 1. Mike Jones 2. Mark Beevers 3. Michael Jacobs (I like players beginning with 'M' - like Mike Sheron)
Re: If you were Keith Hill & could sign 3x more players this window who would you sig Too many players on there are regular back up players getting match time for their clubs. Jamie Vardy is being touted out for a million quid, and then the majority of the rest are earning far too much money for us. You need to be listing players from the divisions below to be more realistic mate.
Re: If you were Keith Hill & could sign 3x more players this window who would you sig Kin'ell l wish we had the money to afford half of that lists wages, sorry 95% of that list.
I bet there isn't one player on there who's wages we can afford Head in the clouds I can guarantee we'll have probably never heard of whoever we sign, probably some lower league gem.
Re: I bet there isn't one player on there who's wages we can afford I would go for that Ben Marshall from Stoke, The little piggie at sheffield really rate him on radio dee dar and are desperate to get him back. Just to spoil there day like I'm sure who Keef will get will be good additions to our team
Re: If you were Keith Hill & could sign 3x more players this window who would you sig Priority is AM and LB but agree majority way out of our league. Had to chuckle at Arismendi mention or had you forgotten the shifts he put in? Realistically? Bradley Orr or Adam Drury type, and Mellis back
Mine: I think we're lacking nastiness and bite in midfield now Doyle's gone, so what about: Idi Amin (Uganda) Pol Pot (Cambodia) Lady Thatcher (Finchley) Other possibilities: Adolf Hitler (Germany) Agustin Pinochet (Chile) Kim Jong-Il (North Korea) Nick Hewer (Countdown)
Re: Mine: Think Hewer the most lifeless of that lot. Now McEveley has a son has he decided to stop being nasty? To be honest his only asset. While a liability sometime, Carl Dickinson gave us that bite. Still very surprised with the Doyle situation. Proven can do a job and Perkins running out of steam trying to do several roles at once. No player is bigger than the club, but neither should a manager. I like Hillcroft's attention to detail and focus on one-for-all, but needs to 1) swallow pride more and play players we need now and 2) admit tactics and selections a cause of some defeats rather than tiredness, luck and always praising effort when should be kicking us up the backside.
