That was my immediate thought as well but then who would you drop? The combination of doyle and colace sitting deep with Hammill and ADS going forward is working excellently, so well that i'm not even sure i'd put Hallfredsson (sp?) back in straight away.
Centre Half who has a bit of pace and decent distribution to cover for Foster and Moore. Reasonably happy with the rest of the squad.
Happy with the squad. I think we need to look at getting more bodies in on the board and behind the scenes. I feel we have finally cracked it in the playing area, lets hope we get the results and the crowds go up a bit.
Striker not convinced any of our strikers will get 20 goals. Most of the top Championship sides will have a striker that will.
If we have a good season l reckon that Hume & Gray will be around the 10-15 goal mark, Macken will get 10 (9 & 8 in previous seasons). I reckon with those three you dont need a 20 goal striker, especially if we have a midfielder chipping in.
A solid defence is more important this season! A striker is probably something to look for next season, its going to be very interesting to see if Macken can keep his recent form up. To keep working like he has to catch up with him and Hume's work rate has been unbelievable, can Gray and Bogdanovic live up to Macken and Hume? I'd have to go with an up and coming Centre Half that could be brought along by Moore and Foster and worry about Strikers to progress next season.
Centre Back In Moore's stature. Hassell can cover Foster as they're both in similar height and stature. A big clogger/bruiser type, someone like Danny Shittu? Filekovic is supposedly meant to be tall, powerful and strong so let's wait and see eh? Other than that, i'd say we're covered all over different positions now.
1 I think, don't think he played for Slovenia the other night did he? Robins said today that his fitness levels still aren't up to scratch yet.
Carl Baker from Stockport County - the new Brian Howard but I am not sure we need another midfielder. Baker was head-and-shoulders above the rest in County's win at Tranmere.
