Went there last week and going tomorrow, in S10.

Up there with Mumtaz (Bradford), Akbars (Leeds), Cafe Guru and Taste of Kashmir (Sheffield) .

And it's bring your own - bonus.

Its in Walkley/Crookes area mate (about 1mile from town in the student area) - there's an excellent off license called the Dram Shop which is opposite and a few good pubs around the area for the students.

Excellent food and the bring your own tops it off!

Been told to look for a quality sunday lunch (time) option now

'er indoors birthday and she fancies a slap up sunday lunch as we have to take the nippers, no baby sitters.

Was considering Rythre arms or 3 Acres..any ideas??

    The Shoulder of Mutton, Worrall

Half hour drive from Barnsley, but well worth it.

Carvery, full works - you plate up your own veg, pots etc. Usually Beef, turkey or Pork available, with proper Yorkshires. £6-95 (kids about £4 I think), and it's a nice pub with good beers. Very friendly staff who look after the little ones.
Bit off the beaten track, but we go there loads for Sunday lunch as it's so good.

Afterwards we usually take the kids to the park which is just 'round the corner - nice playground, football pitch, and a marked out road track that the younger kids can take bikes/ roller blades/ scateboards on. There's even a little ramp. Our kids are always asking to go again.

Just type Shoulder of Mutton, Worrall into Google & it comes up. (Some reason the links aren't working)

Even on busy Sundays we've always got in

You can sit in the dining area, or in the bar (they're happy for kids to go in either).

    Don't like bring your own

If I'm going out for a meal the least I expect is that they can serve me a drink. If I want to sup out of a can I've got from the offy I'll get a take away.
