And it's a big IF now, but IF BFC went on a similar run to that under the clown Johnson under Hecky this season and it did not result in the same patience, how would you feel?
Majorly pissed off. Because it's nothing to do with Heckys management skills, it would purely be down to the board being tight ********.
It depends on the circumstances. I always felt that we were right to stick with Lee Johnson because I felt the results we were getting weren't reflective of the performances we were putting out. I felt we suffered from a combination of poor fortune and lacklustre finishing, largely down to persisting with guff like Connor Wilkinson. That was Lee Johnson's biggest crime. Prior to that, I feel we made the right decisions in changing managers under Wilson, Flitcroft, Hill and Davey. There was no end in sight to our poor form, whereas under Johnson, I always thought we'd eventually go on a good run, and then we could reassess in the summer after a lower mid-table finish. In terms of Hecky, I feel it all depends on the circumstances which put us on a bad run. I suppose he should be afforded the time as he's in........ ..... Wait...... I've just realised we're talking about changing our most successful manager in the best part of 20 years because we lost a friendly........
No I'm talking g about the criticism. Of the the boards I had swallow it when Spackman got the job. Spackman. Is another example where I was in a minority for saying he was a shocking appointment., but we digress Niether. Was I happy. To appoint. Johnson.. Look. Back and you'll find me saying the dream ticket was Heckingbottom, Burton and crossley
No, were talking about changing said manager because he spoke out yesterday. I fear his days are numbered because of it. You don't disagree with the board. BFC got lucky getting rid of that con man. He'd still be there no, playing technical football, in L1. I just hope Hecky makes it to Christmas. You can't sack a man with a family at Christmas can you?
He's issued an ultimatum to the board. It's time to see whether they listen. The players he's signed are the players he wanted, I have no doubt about that. He was singing the praises of one of them after we won on Tuesday. I feel that my criticism of other clubs was probably a little misplaced now as Hecky's comments suggest that our end is as much to blame as the parent club for the slowdown on transfer dealings. I feel Hecky will walk before he's pushed If it comes to that. In terms of Johnson. I agree that we'd still be in league 1 had he not left, but there was a sharp upturn in results, there's no denying that. But what happened that season is still beyond comprehension in my opinion, and would have probably had more recognition had Leicester not won the Premier League. Its all IF's and buts at the end of the day. I'm as confident that we'll win the first 5 games as I am that we'll lose the first 5. I don't think Hecky's comments have aided confidence of anyone, but he's certainly got good reason to if he feels he's not getting the support he needs.
If it happened I'd be very disappointed, as would everybody. That said, I don't think we'll go on a run like that, and if we did, I think the club would give him just as long as Johnson. The season hasn't even started and we're already talking like we're twenty points adrift at the bottom of the table. F*cking hell.
Nope what I'm sayingis I consider Weare on the right tracks. It will be an undulating journey. With many peaks and troughs. Hold your nerve Again I was in a minority. Of possibly 1 in 94when I said Wilson was the man for the job and in a like wise when I said where. Wasn't the second time round Hold your nerve, this ship is on the right course
Very annoyed. I don't think it will happen though as I don't think we will go on such a bad run. Whether Hecky's little rant yesterday will cause job security issues is more debatable that might depend on whether our owner is the target or the official board and CEO. If PC is as frustrated as Hecky he will be fine. If he is the reason nothing is happening I fear Hecky will be gone by Christmas no matter what happens on the pitch
I think the CEO is an employee who has a seat on the board and has day to day control on running the business. . Unlike many on here I think it's highly unlikely. He identifys players. That will be the scout who will report to the football manager
Who do you think has the final say on whether we can spend £1m on a player or not? The CEO employee or the owner who's money it is?
No but it doesn't mean he is meeting expectations. Look at Linton for example. I don't know for sure where the problem is. Ganaye might be just as pissed off as Hecky and unable to do the job he thought he was doing in which case Hecky will be gone soon. Or it may be that for some reason he is letting things slip I have no idea which. But it's clear that a few weeks ago Hecky was happy with the plan which must have been agreed but now is unhappy that the plan isn't being implemented. The big question is why not.
