i dont know if these signs are in every town/place/ whatever but here where i live in rotherham there are round signs painted on the floor of every roads footpath stating "pick up or payup £50 (maybe 500 not sure) for dog fouling"

anyway as i was out this morning doing my papers i noticed a lady who i deliver too crossing the road and stopping in the middle of it. i though to myself maybe shes waiting for me to give her her paper or something but she looked straight past me and as i looked behind her, there was her dog, crapping in the middle of the path, wearing its lead and easily shoputed at or dragged away for what its doing. i then carried on my round and there sre enough was a sign on the floor just around the corner where shed walked straight past and ignored it.

Now i ask how hard is it to train a dog not to do that by telling it off or as nasty as it seems dragging it away to somewhere diferen suchas the pitsite 50m away where dog walkers go? and if you cant be bothered to train it, is it hard to pick it up?

i have done both whilst training a dog to go in the right place so why are other people so idle, lazy, ignorant and uncooprative.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    It's £50.

And those who don't pick up should be banned from keeping animals.

    It's disgusting.

I don't think its as easy as training a dog to not go on the path, more a case of training the owners to scoop the poop!!

I trained mine to go on grass............trouble was, a wide pavement with one blade of grass on it was appealing
