If it works i'm all for it but it aint working. Wilson got away with it yesterday. Might not be so lucky in next couple of home games. Great 3 points though which was the main objective.
Suppose it's all about getting points on the board but we won't play many teams as bad as Millwall Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
completely baffled why in a scrap where every ball needed to be contested you would bring on a player with the physical presence of a jelly who would shirk a tackle with a four year old
Have you ever thought; premier league teams loan us these players. It might be in the agreement where they have to play if fit? Hence the rather strange decision to take COG off and leave Proschwitz on at the sty a couple of weeks ago.
I thought Shea did ok. You can see why he wants him, quick and direct but comes with the graft of me.
And aside from the debate on Shea, who does look unwilling to put the required work in at the moment, I don't think leaving Nick on over O'Grady at Hillsborough was that odd, he has been more mobile and worked more to close people down than COG has this season and that was just what was required with 10 men.
not sure what danny sees in shea tbh , apart from his height you wouldnt notice him in a game so far for us
Shea seems so lightweight his attempts to keep the ball in the corner towards the end were laughable. O'Grady trundled over showed him how to do it won us a corner. Shea tried again and fell over giving a foul away. He seems to offer pretty much nothing going forward and not be particularly keen or adept at defending. I didn't think he was awful yesterday but we were crying out for some pace or guile to attack Millwall with and he failed to provide either. The main thing I can say in his defence is a lack of football over the last 15 months.
I doubt that Danny was trying to show the fans who's boss,it was a vital game,I would be surprised if he would have deliberately risked ballsing up,I think he sees something in him ...I haven't spotted it myself yet though.
Danny's said he sees Cywka as an impact sub, so far more likely to bring him on when we need a goal rather than defending a 1-0 lead... Mind you a second goal would have sealed it.
