But I was labouring under the misconception that he was refusing better players and that he'd be replaced by a better manager.
Now, havingwitnessed Gordon Shepherd's influence on a football side, I realise who we really need to replace.

I'll hold me hand up, I was biased towards AR After meeting him and having a good conversation, sharing the odd joke I thought he was great. Genuinely nice guy, and thought he'd go far in management, and I hope he does. Having seen his replacement, I miss him sorely, I want him back!!
I didn't want him gone- because i believed that we had a degree of stability that we hadn't had for several years. Having said that once he was gone I believed that was the end of it and I just wanted the club to move on.
If The Board had replaced him with an Experienced Manager, then I could see the logic in getting rid But to replace him with someone like Davey , it beggars belief. I really cant see how he has gained any qualifications at all. The man is a Buffoon
i was shocked AR was sacked but when i heard the "truth" about signings etc i thought good choice we will still stay up. level points wi 5th from bottom, far better than when AR was in charge keep the faith
I was disgusted at out treatment of Andy Ritchie... ...and think that the club is now reaping the rewards of its shocking behaviour.
RE: I was disgusted at out treatment of Andy Ritchie... I think it was disgusting what happened to Ritchie. But he should have brought some players in, he gave them an excuse to sack him.
There is no excuse for the treatment given to AR It was all double talk and character assassination by GS. Something that supporters of other clubs as well as BFC fans are at a loss to understand. The PR on this whole issue has been a disaster.
whats the point in bringing in players if they are not going to improve the team Davey has brought in players and weakend the team, under Ritchie we were 2/3 players of been a very very good side. We are now about 8 players short of a good side!!
