I'd swap places with Odejayi any day of the week. I get the money he's on and all I'd have to put up with is a bit of booing? It's a ******* dream life!
you could even do it from ya sofa if you wern't getting a game lol 5K BFC fans cant all be wrong! Hes pants and he knows he is. I liken him to either Brian of Big Brother or Frank Bruno. Neither of em footballers.
Spot on. It comes with territory I'm afraid. All this feeling sorry for him b*****ks doesn't wash with me. He's a big lad and he'll have to get over it and prove everyone wrong. We'll see what he's made of.
Simon Davey's Post Match Comments http://www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~1201217,00.html I can't agree with what he says about Odejayi. Fans were on his back from the first minute? I don't think so and why would they when we were winning? Talent? Can't agree with that either.
They were waiting to jump on Odejayi's back. Sorry, but they were. There was a murmur of discontent as soon as his name was announced before the game.
i agree I wasn't at the match today but.. two blokes behind me in the ponty constantly berate him as soon as he is on the pitch. Personally, I think he is raw and with the right attitude and training he could be an asset for us. In the mean time getting on his back will be nothing but counter productive.
Seconded. What the lad needs is encouragement, not booing. Yes he does get paid good money for kicking a ball around - but it's not like he's trying to be ****. I actually thought there were some glimpses of a decent player in him today, 10 minutes from the end he had a decent spell of hold-up play and brought other players into the game. His shooting is woeful, but i'm sure it will come with confidence. I do agree with what was said in another thread - at the start of the season it would have been a good idea to loan him out until January to maybe give him some confidence. Maybe that could still be an option come January.
