No point me suggesting Megson, because were he not winning every week the fans wouldn't take to him, so I'm dropping it.

Wilson was my second choice. So yes. There.

Me too Whitey, I'd love him to come back, Redfearn as his number two.

Hmm, you were also 100% behind Hill. Are you expecting Wilson to be better? Personally, (sticking my colours firmly to the mast) I would give it to Micky Mellon until the end of the season.

I would go for Wilson on the following grounds:

    1. Knows the club
    2. Has a good record with other clubs. Importantly, after he left they did worse - always a sign of a good manager imho. His record with most other clubs is actually pretty good.
    3. The fans, on the whole, would be behind him like no other manager and would be more inclined to give him time, given what he did before
    4. He plays good football

Sorry but Wilson has already cemented his place in history at this club, time to move on.
Not a fan of living in the past, and with Wilson being our most successful manager he would have too much pressure on his shoulders to replicate what he did with us 16 years ago.
Lets see what Mellon is made of tomorrow. I hope we win, and he proves himself to be the real mastermind of last seasons great escape.

Plus i had a fiver on him at 12-1

I'm not living on sentiment, nor 'centiment'. I'm living on God's green Earth. And Danny Wilson is probably the best candidate available to us, other than Gary Megson who I've already decided against for obvious reasons.

I'm thankful for what Danny did last time he was in charge, but that's not the sole reason for me backing him now. His record in nearly 20 years as a manager is not to be sniffed at. I also believe that should we be relegated we'd be in good hands to rebuild.

    Just my opinion.

    I'm expecting nowt.

I was 100% behind Keith. I am 100% behind every manager at the start.

But yes, I begged us to appoint Keith. I also thought Spackman was an inspired appointment.

Not an exact science. And my opinion is merely that, an opinion.

Ah, that would make 'Arry Redknapp the greatest of them all then, because once he leaves a club they tend to go into administration!

In hindsight Danny Boy didn't do a bad job at Bramall Lane with a young team there are other candidates and his leaving was disappointing but Wednesday were his first love come back DANNY.

I hope we win tonight....in fact I pray we win!

But if we do, does that make Mellon a messiah and we appoint him?

I'm sticking by the experienced route and hoping Wilson or Warnock get the job.

to be honest im bricking it because appointing the wrong person will seal our fate to league 1. The league table at the moment looks scarey and we need an experienced guy who can get us up and running immediately
