Last thing I need tomorrow is relegation! What was Ricky playing at? He was jabbing at thin air for christs sake in the first round
The undercard is always **** in America So don't act suprised! Something wasn't right, he must have thrown 15 jabs in the first round at nothing! This is awful
RE: The undercard is always **** in America Fair point, Hatton looked out of his depth and came out brawling for some reason. Maybe it had something to do with the bust up between his trainers
I don't want to make excuses, I really don't But there is no way on Gods Earth that the Ricky Hatton that stepped out for that fight was the Ricky Hatton that has bulldozed 45 opponents in the past! I'm lost, stunned, and really wishing we didn't have a relegation D Day tomorrow! Can't get my head round this at all!
RE: I don't want to make excuses, I really don't I agree with you it didn't look like the Hatton I've watched through the years. Having said that he came out to brawl with the best boxer in the world and got punished 3 times. Hatton should have known better. What happened to this new and improved Ricky Hatton who was going to box clever. I never thought Hatton would win but I thought the fight would be a bit longer than 2 rounds. Very very upset
Hatton lost it good and proper against Mayweather he had the backing of the fans who thought the referee kept him at bay, wouldnt let him fight on the inside, etc. etc. He's got no excuses with this fight at all, properly schooled from the first round! I know I've said it before, but he jabbed thin air about 15 times, like he was doing it because he'd said that was what he was going to do. Not impressed, and far too upset to think about the football in 8 hours (or work in less than 3!)
RE: Hatton lost it good and proper I'll forget about the boxing if we stay up today, If we go down it's going to have been one of the worst bank holiday weekends i've ever had
Is it a day for upsets ? Hatton in 2....50-1 winner of the Kentucky Derby..........Barnsley win away from home !!!
The two biggest fights of his career and he choked in them both. He can't expect fans to pay 15 quid to keep watching him. He especially can't expect fans to pay a **** load of money to travel to watch him over in America.
He came up against another fighter that is in the super fighter class. And was outclassed, again. Not sure where he will go now. He will have to take a step back in class as he obviously can't live with Mayweather, Pacquiao et al. Maybe he will just call it a day. Could it be the way he looks after himself between fights that has been his downfall at the very top?
