If they were going to give Davy the job fair enough (I wish him every success in the world and hope everbody will give him a chance to show what he can do once he has had a real chance to change things after being able to strengthen the squad bring in players of his own choice) .But why wait until after a crap passionless performance like that ,it just seems to me that the board have been going through the motions of interviews and hoping results wouild change for the better to enable them to make the appointment in a better light otherwise whats changed for the better in recentmatches? or were the other applicants just piss ppoor?.
Thay'd have wanted money, both for themselves and to bring in the sort of players they know we need to stay up. Davey is already here. He knows how it works. He knows we're likely to sign players that are unproven, young, injury prone or not good enough, and he'll live with that 'cos that's how we do things and he knows it. It was nailed on from the word 'go'. Hate to say 'I told you so' in a YN stylee, but...
I Reckon Out Of The Serious Twenty Names On The List........ that Davey would have been about 18th or lower when it came to experience. Lets look at the facts...... 1. Great academy. 2. Passionate fans even if we don't have many. 3. Nice stadium. 4. Championship club. I reckon many experienced managers would have wanted to get on board.
