    Can't beat that

as I've never scored a goal against a keeper, but I have played in goal and stopped Colin Walker from scoring.

He was one of my brothers best friends and lived on the same street as us. Most of the kids from the village would go and play football up on the field.

    Heh heh.

Only ever got past Heidi twice in her heyday. Both times she turned and legged me up. A bit like Anthony Kay but without the not being able to get past bit.

I once had a penalty shoot out competition with the one and only "clive Baker" in goal.

I manage to score 3 out of 6 when I was only 11 (ish)

at that time kids from around 7/8 through to 16 was in the same competition, and I came joint 2nd with that score (out of around 120 kids)

Out of interest, from this I earned a blue badge soccer skills award and it was presented by another stalwart in John Beresford (who was my idol at the time)

Does this beat it, or at least equal it?

    plus

I was once the mascot (years ago when we had roger wylde etc and alan clarke was manager, we beet Shrewsbury Town 2-1)

I rattled the bar in the warm up (again Baker was in Goal) and he really had a go at saving it put the pace of the shot, left him high and dry...

During this adventure I had a tour of the ground, and got to sit in the dressing room whilst the team talk was going on, Got sat in the Boss chair in his office, and also manage to see John Macdonald laying in a bath reading a porn mag 15 minutes before kick off...

    Oh!

And I was also one of the Barnsley "Fans of the Week", on Soccer AM when we played Ipswich in the play off final...

    BEAT THAT ONE

I am sure someone on here will beat it anyway...

This has to be the best BBS around, It seems everyone knows everyone etc (as well as their user names), with exception of me as I am still pretty new to it.

But that will change hopefully, just thought the Soccer AM post, may be the one the "introduces" me better than I started...

    Anyways... Great place to debate!

ive played for the school team against the full BFC squad

when i was a nipper at Wilthopre Juniors. Can remember Clive Baker getting the ball and shoving it up his shirt before legging it the full length of the pitch to pop it out and score.
