First of all how Radio Sheffield and blunts fans etc keep insisting it was a 'challenge'. It was not a challenge - it was an off the ball incident. It was well before the ball arrived - a challenge is when 2 people go for the ball. Secondly the dickwad blunt that rang up tonight saying the these things happen all the time, most never damage people and go unpunished and its just one of things. Also that morgan is just a physical player and thats part of his game. I am fecking fuming about that. There is no need and no room in the game of football for use of the elbow in that manner - i know people use for leverage but they do not swing them at people. He was basically saying that its ok to use the elbow because it iften doesnt hurt anyone. Liken this to drin kdriving. Sure, someone could do it for weeks, months, years and get away with it. But what happens the first time they miss a red light an kill someone because they have been drinking and are not in ful control. Then what!! Chris morgan has been doing that for years - and so have many other players. It is about time that they take this to task and remove it from the game before soeone is killed. It could have been Hume - thankfully it wasnt. Lets not allow this pass and wait until someone does die. It should be laid out in the rules that if you are caught using the elbow with intent to harm on video or by the ref you will be banned n games. If you are caught using the elbow with intent to harm and it puts someone out injured you also sit out of the game for the same length of time. This would make players think twice about what they are doing. I fed up of hearing people say it goes on all the time - fact is that it shouldnt go on all the time. Get well soon Humey Mogs - i hope they chuck the book at you.
I began to think last night.................... that someone (McCabe?) had organised a concerted effort on Football Heaven to deflect criticism away from Morgan's crime-apparently on other forums some Blunts fans have criticised Morgan but - and in no way am I blaming Radio Sheff because they don't know what you are going to say before you get on air - there hasn't as far as I am aware been one Blunt on Football Heaven expressing the view that Morgan was wrong
If someone did that to me... I'd be pursuing it in court until they were done for it. Go for it Humey.
