I've still not heard the full story that everyone was promising about how he saved us, and then had to bail because he was skint

I thought it was our erstwhile mayor that promised the story

 

The mayor certainly said there was a story to be told

But there were a section of fans who thought Ridsdale was great ... and when challenged as to the wisdom of this view responded with "If only you knew" (they probably tapped thier nose and looked smug while typing it) I never found out what they knew that I didn't ... but I'm not expecting it top be all that exciting because as ever Ridsdale did his usual disappearing act, leaving (by most accounts) a dodgy balance sheet and a host of reasons why it wasn't his fault.

He looks like he's gearing up to do the same.
