I'm gutted just had my order for a Nokia N97 cancelled...

Im with O2 cos its the only network that seems to have a good coverage in Penistone.
Contacted Dailaphone yesterday to upgrade to an N97. Thought it was all sorted and the phone would be delivered tomorrow. Just checked online to make sure it had been dispatched and as the order status its says cancelled!!

Rang them to find out why, was told O2 have banned anyone offering new contracts or upgrades with them on the N97!!! WTF... They had no intention of letting me know, I'd have been sat waiting all day tomorrow if I hadn't have checked.

They offerred it me on Orange but thats no use cos I know from experience they dont get a signal in Penistone so Im knackered now.....

I'd set my heart on that phone and had been waiting months for it to be released.... so does anyone have any phone recommendations??

Looks like Im going to have to wait...

Makes sense that it would be in direct competition with the Iphone so they have delayed it.

To be honest the N97 looks like it would wipe the floor with the Iphone and that must have got O2 worried especially with the amount that it must cost them to have the Iphone exclusivley...

I am on Orange and I am waiting for the new Nokia N97. It was meant to have been dispatched today but I have recieved a text from Orange to say "there has been a further delay in the launch of this product".

 

Were you upgrading with Orange directly???

The bloke at dailaphone told me if I was willing to switch to orange they could dispatch an N97 today...
Might be worth upgrading through them???

 

best hope they have sorted the battery out from the N95

lost count how many times ive been left high and dry with a flat battery.
