a worse Tarn team i am struggling to recall.. im ****** if im even able to find ANY positives out of the 3 games ive seen.. either the men posing as footballers dont want to play for him, or they dont want to play for us.. i mentioned it in my thread on sunday, but tonite im going to make a big deal out of it.. what am i referring to? im talking about Haynes and McEveley.. despite sitting thru yet another painful to watch display, i did as i always do, and thats stayed to the end to applaud the team.. i dont do it because they played good or bad. i do it because im a supporter. its 1 of the few things i can do that shows my support, along with buying a ST and a programme etc.. now, Haynes & McEveley, they have gone down in my estimation.. as soon as the whistle blew, they were gone.. not even a 2nd glance at the poor ******** that have just had to watch the 3rd installment of a horror-show trilogy.. the same poor sods paying their unwarranted wages.. im singling those 2 out as they did the same setdi.. but there were others who didnt applaud us.. much credit though goes to Craig Davies, who stayed behind and clapped OUR effort for a lot longer than anyone else.. and just like setdi, im absolving him of any blame.. WHY was he not starting? jeez it was bad.. again.. absolutely no evidence of the brand of football we were promised.. there appeared to be no tactics, no gameplan.. it was as if they were all playing football for the very 1st time! im not even exaggerating by saying that we could have cobbled together a BBS XI that would have shown more passion, more nous and a hell of a lot more ability.. i mean, Hillcroft are making an impact alright.. this proud club has never started a season without scoring in the 1st 4 matches.. and its only because of an OG that that record stays unbroken.. 4 ******* games, and 1 OWN GOAL to show for it! haha.. thaz gotta laugh.. i said id give em 10 games.. well im not sure i need another 6 to confirm the NELLIES were right.. although the lower league player theory is ****** because Addison is a tier 1 or 2 player, as is Edwards, and tonite, after being 2 bright lights previously, they were 2 of the worst displays ive seen from such highly-thought of players.. id love someone to tell me im going OTT.. that its just a bad day at the office, but its fcukin 3 times! at Oakwell! our fortress.. cant wait to see or hear Parkins, sorry, HILLS excuses this time.. cant blame the boo-boys tneet ol ****.. i felt they were quite restrained tbh.. it deserved jeering.. both Soton and now Boro have come and 'footballed us to death' wasnt that us, who were meant to be doing that.. shouldnt make promises, or say things u cant deliver on.. "thats not a reflection of Keith Hill" NO!? well its u thats picking em, and giving em daft roles that dont suit em.. its u thats got 4 slow defenders trying to play offside.. and its certainly u that keeps refusing to pick our BOBBY! i wanted Hill, i still want to WANT Hill, but Jeeeez!
to be fair to Edwards other than giving the ball away for the 3rd goal I didn't notice him doing owt else wrong, I though foster was terrible first half.
or you could have just said that like the rest of us your extremely dissapointed rather than a 10 page essay to get yourself attention ala orsenkaht/thereev or are the 3 of you the same ppl ?
they played a bit better than setdi, hence fans dint get on their backs as much.but am still not going to be negative because we played a very good side today, they dint let us settle on the ball for 1 second.but things are going to have to change pretty quick cos judging by the first three games (not counting micky mouse cup) we are in a very strong division this season.
You are going OTT mate. But you were warned! The midfield is the main problem, he has brought Addison in and that means he has to use him, same with Perkins to an extent. He brought a winger in Done, yet he does not play, he plays strikers and central midfielders out wide, so if Done is no good enough to get in before player that are out of position, it begs the question, WHY BUY HIM? If he is good enough the PLAY HIM.
ar, they were both gash.. im sick of saying how toss Foster is.. a few year ago he was capable, nowt special but ok.. now? not good enough.. i could say that about the lot tonite though.. its just very very worrying.. EIGHT thousand tarn fans n all.. worrying.
yeah 8,000 thats a bit worrying.thing is though in a few years time when we're in premiership theyll be 20,000 plus saying "yeah i was at oakwell when there was only 8,000 there"
You are joking. The only reason the score stayed at 3 was because Boro realised they didn't have to do anything second half. When did their keeper make a save? His biggest danger came from his own defence!! Absolutely shocking display again by the Reds. And you don't know how much it hurts me to say that!
As abject as I have seen since latter day Spackman. Hill appears to have either underestimated pedigree of Championship or overestimated quality of his acquisitions. Or both. Porous defence, statuesque midfield, impotent attack. Where's the bloody width? And where's Bobby Hassell and why?! Must be careful not to crush confidence but if things don't get better quickly drastic action will be required.

Boro aren't a very good side, they are no better than they were last year in terms of players. We let them do what they wanted, with no pressure for 90 mins. Every team that visits Oakwell this season will be a very good if we keep playing like this.
im going to choose to ignore this and look to the future, we can improve, if they are not a good side why are they unbeaten in 15 league games and won 5 away games on the trot? we just can't buy a goal at the moment but that will change. just STAY POSITIVE GUYS!
