BS! - Of course I am.

A club is for life not just for Christmas. Believe me, follow your club through the hard times and the enjoyment if and when success pops it head round the corner again will feel so, so sweet (just like it did at Cardiff last year). Come On Tarn...............Tarn till I die (and beyond).

Regardless of our status, League One or Championship I'll have a season ticket.

Some people are just unreal on here with their negativity at times.

Good for you folks that are..... Im still undecided, but swaying more towards NOT GETTING ONE at this moment in time. Major shake up pre season to change that, if not then better things to spend my money on despite my love for football.

Undecided but looking more like a no, which is a shame as we have had those East Stand seats since it was built.
Combination of working away more so need the weekends and the fact that the kids don't want to go !!

    I will be getting one!

I am in the process of finding a job in Barnsley and moving home after living in Brum for 4 years. It's cost me a fortune to travel up every other week for games, not to mention the cost of the away games, but I have always been a reds fan, and will follow them through thick and thin, whether that is in the conference, league 1 or premiership.

I agree with what everyone has been saying about the board, but at the end of the day it's the lads on the pitch who I am supporting and if we all said I am not going to games anymore the club may as well close. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am not having a go. I know we are not treated well by the board, and we are just a number to alot of them, another bum on a seat, but having known alot of the lads at the club for a while, I know that they are feeling the pressure of unhappy fans and the prospect of all the hard work of last season going down the drain and how hard they work for this club (despite what others may think) I don't know if we will stay up if I am honest, I would love it if we did, but whatever happens there has to be some changes behind the scenes in the close season if they want fans to carry on their support, I know that.

I just wonder how many of the people who constantley criticise and have a go on here were praising the board last season for our premature promotion to the championship!

That's the rant over, sorry if I offended anyone, but I am just fed up of people moaning on here all the time, it's just depressing and boring after the 90th time of hearing it said!

you attempt a good job of trying to differentiate and seperate the board from the playing staff. Do you realise that everyone and everthing is interconnected? the decisions made by Sheperhed and eventually by davy do have an eventual influenceon the field. Therefore, please do'nt try and separate and create two individual situations

I do know that, and I know that at some point down the line playing staff are influenced by decisions made by the manager, shepherd and the board. All I was saying is that from conversations I have had down there, the lads are working hard to keep the club where they are-4th from bottom. Obviously everything is interlinked, and so sometimes the decisions made higher up the club are not always the best ones for the lads on the pitch, or the fans who pay to watch week in week out.

I will be getting one next season and every season for the rest of my life. Cant just stop going. I love BFC and agree with Yorkshirelass about the difference between the board and the players. I think the powers at Oakwell have made some terrible decisions this season and havn't invested nearly enough into the team to make us competitive at this level. But I dont go down to Oakwell to sing and offer support to the board. I go down to get behind the 11 players on the pitch, who are just victims of the decisions made higher the same as us fans are. I think if you are stopping going because of family or work reasons then fair enough. If you are not gonna go because of the decisions made in the boardroom then you are not a BFC fan.

and the players really give a **** about the club....like Macphail and Macindoe.....the decent players know they will be off in the summer...the rest are 3rd division players who cant get another club...

the players dont care about OUR club neither does the board...so why should I renew my season ticket to watch an inferior product.....

When I said the 11 players on the pitch I wasnt thinking about specific persons. I just meant the 11 players who are wearing the barnsley shirt. The team. Because they represent Barnsley, and to support them gives us a chance to represent Barnsley. Thats what supporting a football club is about. Not boardroom decisions, how much money is available or individual players. Its about supporting the Barnsley shirt and the town. IMO anyway. Just cause some inside the club dont appear to care doesnt mean the fans should turn their backs. Their will be better times in the future. But I am sure you will be back then.

Agree totally. Being a supporter of a club like ours is all about the good and bad times, and generally they will be bad (or at best ordinary).
