if Owen reads this are you able to confirm, or deny, whatever the case, that Davey has instructed the players not to attend the supporters trust meetings in the future because
they need to focus on the game 4 days later and must not be distracted. Please Owen tell me it isn't true because after instructing us not to go near the training ground, I was
convinced that problems were developing with this guy. I was convinced then that this man attempts to rule by fear and overt authority. If true Owen it would confirm my
suspicions and in my opinion, if true, then this guy is so insecure he's losing it big style

Im lost on this one. How would attending a Supporters Trust meeting

distract their game four days later?

I don't know Cazi and the reason why I'm requesting Owen, who I know contributes to this site, to confirm this rumour. Again, if it is true I must say I am increasingly
becomming concerned about his autocratic behaviour.

Hold on there, the point I'm trying to convey is one of a difference between a manager who has the ability to man manage in an appropriate manner. This includes dealing with
the fan base, either directly or indirectly. Autocrat is defined as a ruler with unrestricted power and you Spartacus feel this is what he should be able to be and do. Being the
manager would not give him this right to be an autocrat. You could of course be diplomatic and apply this principal subtly and get away with it by merely stamping your
authority in a way which takes into account the feelings and attitude of player and fans. In other words, there's a right and a wrong way to approach a job. I'm afraid you
cannot say "because he's the manager.

He can say it and he did,

he has the right to his opinion , just like everyone else.
Just because you dont agree with it, that does not make it any less of an opinion.

are you saying madmark62 that he has a right to an opinion, if so you're right and I agree. But, are you saying , which I am questioning, that he has a right to exhibit
behaviours(actions) without being inquired into, because I haven't mentioned opinions in this thread. Only you have. There are reasons why everyone, including the manager,
make certain decisions about certain behaviours(actions) but should be able to give an account as to what foundations those decisions are made on.

    Thats not quite true....

We asked if we could have a couple of players at the trust meeting last wk.we wanted foster and coulson so they could pick up their trophies from the end of last season as they were not available to collect them before.davey said no cos they were preparing for the opening game (not that it made any difference!)so he wasnt allowing players to attend.its not for the whole season though.as for the not being allowed on the training field,i think its disgraceful!what happened to being stronger together and being a community club.davey is on some sort of ego trip and its time he lived in the real world and realised he is not the owner or this club and he can be replaced!

thanks for partially clearing some of it up but, why should he have prevented coulson from attending when, as I understand, Coulson is undergoing rehab. for a cruciate
ligament and would not have been preparing for the opening game or any other game at the momen anyway.

I have no idea. I am guessing it's the same reason that he plays Hassell and Robbie Williams in MF, and perseveres with a striker that is obviously not good enough for this league and convimced he will come good! After all, he is a 'raw talent!'. Ah, Simon Davey, will anyone ever understand him!!!

Don't know. We're in a lose lose situation. Do we stick with a manager who seems to have made enemies with just about everyone and lost respect from just about everyone he's been in contact with, or do we cause the players to be unsettled and in limbo and start a brand new season managerless? We lose whichever way round you look at it, unless we can sack him on a Monday and have a new manager on Tuesday!!

Ever thought of a 3rd option?

Get behind him, and the club?

Oh aye, the sun shone out of Daveys arse against Liverpool and Chelsea but two games into a season and you want him sacked?!

Can we leave the fickleness to the Wendy's, please?

I have never liked Simon Davey from the day he started here. I loved that we beat Chelsea and Liverpool, but I wasn't praising him, it was the players I was pleased for. Most of them never played in such a big stadium before and it was nice they got the chance to do that. I don't like his attitude or his 'man management' skills. Maybe sacjking him isn't the best option or the right one, but for god's sake, he needs bringing down a peg or two and someone with some actual sense needs to come in and bail him out. In my opinion!

a lucky win at anfield and a chelsea side that underestimated us.
can you honestly say tactics won us them 2 matches?
league is the bread n butter and we are found extremely wanting.

Yeah, but thats the old saying, "you can only beat, whats in front of you"

Look at that lot from S6. They won 4-1 and thought they were world-beaters, now they're saying they've got no forwards because they lost one game.
Sheff Utd were calling for Blackwell's head after the first game, and Tonge was the biggest ****** on this earth. Now they won a game, they're on their way to the Premiership!

Fickleness. Can we leave it in S6 and S2, and get behind the lads?

    not at all
but getting the arrogant twatt to admit he needs help and getting someone in to do a job
    that'd be a good start.
