until the substitutions, true we never scored but we created chances and the Hudds defence and midfield couldnt live with Disco, my mate at work said he's not seen such an entertining match for ages, thought Disco was superb 9might try passing in the box instead of shooting),Mcphail's passing outstanding and
we only lost to a comedy goal,
we can do it on Monday,
the only time weve not deserved to beat em this season was at oakwell in the league, and we only drew cause of a silly addedon time goal from em

Wouldn't say you controlled the second half. Thought it was pretty even. Chances at either end, good football played, very open for both sides.

"my mate at work said he's not seen such an entertining match for ages" The lads at my work (L**ds, Bradford, Man U fans etc) say exactly the same - great advert for league 1 and a good game for the cameras. Can't wait to watch it back on tape.

Credit to both sides though. Such an open game enabled some great exciting football and a top atmosphere. My only down point is that we haven't got a 2 goal lead to take to Leeds Road on Monday night.

See yer on Monday.

i agree

I think that we were doing well in the second half right up until ritchie pulled off both our strikers. after that we resorted to the long ball again, straight up the pitch and straight back down when tommy wrong couldnt hold the ball or didnt win it.

A very poor double substitution (possibly the worst of the season in my opinion) totally changed the game and put the pressure back on to barnsley.

Yeh we were much the better team in second half

piss poor for opening half hour of first half, rallied for 15 mins before break.

Only looked like one team was going to score second half until that daft balls up.

We can win it on Monday, but only if we score first.

once we survived the first 20 mins onslought

i thought we'd easily win, could have been 2 down, but the second half i thought Hudds looked pretty poor, Colgan made one excellent save but they never really threatened

Draw would have probably been fair resuly overall

but after we survived the first half i believe we should have won, but the way Hudds came out was great to watch, and was exactly how i thought we should have started,
obviously the game wasnt going to be played at that pace for 90 mins although disco kept up the pace and really poissed on the hudds defence, pity his crossing wasnt as good

I agree with that and am quite surprised to see some of the negativity on here about the game in recent posts.

Fair comment

I'm only commenting on the clear cut chances created thoughout the nmatch. Not speculative chances, but chances that really raised pulse levels.

Fair enough grist

thought Hudds had a good gameplan, and you could have had it wrapped up in first half. Booth is 54 but made all our defenders look like clowns for most of first half.

We were better for most of 2nd half but you had a few chances on the break.

Could've gone either way .... and ominously for yoo terriers .... can still.

I have been offered free tickets for Monday but turned them down cos they were in with you lot. I have been in The Crescent and seen some of the HYC in action.

Be watching on SKY in boozer, and be going to work next morning, rather than bothering the good NHS staff of HGI casualty.

Yoo Reds!

i didn,t think barnsley deserved to win, huddersfield were by far the better side 1st half and could have been 3 up in the 1st 20 mins, barnsley were the better side in the 2nd half until our defensive calamity.I work in hudds with town supporters and they have the misconception they are virtually in the final, far from it barnsley will still push them right to the limit and your big pitch seems to suit our style of play!

Disagree in part about the substitutions - Hayes on for Richards would have been fair enough....stuff was actually sticking up front for us with Hayes but not sure what bringing Wright on was supposed to achieve

Not sure we controlled the second half

Although I did think we were the better team until the substitutions. However, I think we were lucky to get through to half time at 0-0.
