Anyone been to the Chania area, it's actually Platanias that we're off to, reading up on it it's seems to be a place of predominantly scandanvaians.
Have not been to Chania but have been to Stallos a couple of times & the next village as well, found the Cretians to be very friendly & enjoyed Crete very much
To be honest Bri we've done Ibiza twice already this year so just fancied a change and it came up at a stupid price.
Platanias is a typical custom built tourist resort...long strip, usual bars, tavernas, etc. but pleasant enough. Chania is a very busy working city but the harbour is gobsmackingly beautiful, you have to spend a few evenings there. Note. Platanias boast a Greek Premier Division club...
see mi other reply ...lol...meanwhile I hope the pair of you are well.... the four of us will have to have a catch up when you get back ...take care and enjoy mate
Cheers for that, I'd noticed that regarding the football team, I was going to have a look to see if they're at home when we're there, I'll also have a look at the Samaria Gorge, that's sounds something I'd like to do,
Sorry to wipe the smile off your face, but I will be only 34km away (according to google maps) from you. At least we can share the weather. And you can find me a bar doing the Villa game, if you're still over there then. Cos I'm like Dusty Springfield - in the middle of nowhere.
