Read my Chronicle this morning and theres no doubting Andrew Lodges opinion of the current regime at Oakwell. As usual after an abject performance followed the letters of discontent.

Later in the day I heard Daveys dour, defensive interview in which he couldnt hide his obvious pettiness and cleverness towards the inteviewer.

Later still the interview with Derrick Parker and the dozen or so reds fans that with the exception of Terry Curran spoke of the concerns that Im sure they share with the rest of us.

Where is the club going under this clown and his chairman? What is the chairmans ambition for Barnsley FC? Why wont the chairman talk to local radio?

If Davey picked a team to win a match like he says then why isnt Anthony Kay in the squad for tomorrow?

Why play Howard on the wing when weve got Kyle Reid?

Whats happening with Paul Hayes, pappy but too good to be out of the squad?

one mistake and thats your lot? presumably then hassell, colgan and reid all needed dropping after the same game? and colgan, mattis and eckersley all needed dropping after the colchester game?

Maybe we should have pulled colgan off at half time in the play-off final too?

Don't talk ridiculous, he was trying to play football, you know "the exciting stuff that we used to play when Ritchie was manager" unfortunately it didn't quite come off for him and the super new left back from Man Utd. just stood and watched it happen. Incidentally, if the left back had not been pulled out of position, Kay wouldn't have needed to be out there in the first place.

    why not pick kyel reid?

because no one passes to him! at keast, not against colchester!!

not his fault, i know! maybe training should involve the basics of passing the ball!!!

looks far better as a striker to bring on in the last ten minutes

    than as a left winger.

    RE KAY

Yes I saw his mistake at Cardiff but thats no reason for him not to be in the squad for the following games. Dropped to the bench maybe but even that would be harsh.

My point was that when Davey was asked why he was dropped for the Colchester match he said "we picked a team to win a match". The team he picked didnt get anywhere near to winning a match so surely Kay should be back in the squad at least.
