Ritchie is very naive to think the strikers which we have will be good enough in the championship. They were not prolific in League 1 so why does he think they will be in a better division. I am so annoyed. We complained of how we missed chances last year. We are not going to get as man y this year, so what chance do we have. Paul Sturrock said last year that he didnt realise how high the standard of the championship was. He failed to sign playere early on in the season thinking his squad was good enough. Wednesday suffered till he realised and signed players. Get ready to suffer everyone!!!
The negativity on here was bad last season when we were in playoffs so i'd hate to see what it'll be like when were 17th in the Championship...
I trust Ritchies judgement on the coming season then any Barnsley supporter

McIndoe, Coulson, Wright with a few from the likes of Hecky , Kay etc
At the risk of repeating myself - the side that came down a few years ago, got relegated by 2 points. they almost went down again.
This side is significantly better in all areas than that - and most sides that go up stay there. Its not as bad as some would have us believe - there are some poor sides in the championship. we can find several who will be worse. Talk to a QPR or Luton fan for example

RE: 15? So how many will each of them players get then?
Hayes - 4?
Richards - 4?
Howard - 3?
Devaney - 4?

Wasn't Wednesday problem they signed a load of players who werent good enough to start with.
Then Sturrock had to give a few away in order to sign people after Xmas.

Pull yourself together, for God's sake!! Sorry, but I've just had a ******* gutful of all this negativity. "Oooh, I feel sick, I do. Oooh, I think I'm going to cry." Nobody has ANYTHING to complain about yet, and imho aren't likely to have anything to complain about later anyway. I for one refuse to spend this summer doing anything but looking forward to next year with optimism & enthusiasm - that's what being a fan is all about - I think we're going to win the ******* league, I do. That's what football fans do. If we'd sold EVERYONE, bought NO ONE, and were looking to succeed this year with a squad of 16 year olds, then fair enough, complain. All we seem to have done is to have the audacity not to spend more than we have on the sort of players that may or may not sell extra season tickets. I agree with the club on that one.
RE: Pull yourself together, for God's sake!! agree with you.... er apart from the 'win the league' thingy, should probably keep that one to your self !!!!!!
