Its clear the squad needs adding to and when the chairmen says there is funds there to do so, but the manager doesnt want to add to the squad in fear of upsetting his team and showing loyalty, then something has to be done. If the squad was playing well and good enough and not second bottom, then fair enough stick with the curent squad, but when it cleary isn't and the only other goalkeeper at the club isnt good enough for a place on the bench and still he refuses to sign players then cleary something had to be done. Maybe we'll get in a manager that has more experience in thwe transfer market personally id like to see Keith Alexander or Martin Allen
Why bring in crap just for the sake of it? Ritchie always maintained he'd only look at players who could add something to the team not just players to make up the numbers. The players Ritchie believed could do that - low and behold them old financial restrictions again! Granted, were relativelt fresh out of administration and no-one wants to see the club back in that state again but surely if the chairman wants to bleat on about signings he's gotta put his money where is mouth is. Otherwise we end up with second rate players and a second rate team - i.e., the spackman & thordarsson era's
well im sure there are at least 2 or 3 players he could have signed. He cannot possibly have hit a blank with every player he tried, he managed to sign togwell and mcindoe easily enough but then again there the only 2 positions we lost. so he had to but once he replaced them no-one else came in that to posibly go straight into the first team.
