............and will be until Christmas the year after next (Christmas 2016)

Then and only then will I be making a judgement

All this rubbish about changing managers is only going to put us back even further than we already are.

Its about time, after 10 long years, that Patrick Cryne started building something at Barnsley - and that has to start somewhere, so why not start here and now.

If I was Patrick, the first thing I would do on Monday is telephone Lee Johnson to ask him what's happening and what else could the board do to support him.

Good post I don't agree with changing managers it's just getting us no where. Pat should ring him ask him what's going on and what he plans to do to get results. Pat has done enough he has Brought enough players in to be more than competitive in this league smith for one hasn't even been given chance, over to you lee

Surely, considering your usual weekly posts regards Mr Cryne, if you 'were' him, the first thing you'd do is flog the club? And maybe donate money to UKIP.

Got to agree - this squad should be flying right now - so summerts wrong

And I would suggest that its because they have gone for a policy of bringing a good talented set of young players together

The recruitment has been great - however, in my opinion they are missing an older experienced head on the field to teach the younger players - which mean bringing a player in with a bit of pedigree which is going to cost in wages

I think Lee Jay needs to change the negitivity in his style or at least try. Against a team like crewe low on confidence was the perfect time to try that two up top winnall feeding off the big man smith give it a go what's worst that can happen? Like I said it's like cooking you can have all the ingredients to make a top dish but if you don't know what you doing with em it ain't going to taste nice.

If patrick cryne truly believe's that sticking with johnson long term will eventually take the club forward then he has to back him regardless of what supporter's think.
Based on what i have seen so far under johnson's tenure i'm not sure we would be any further forward in 10 years nevermind 3. It is however early days. We can't do much more than wait and see....and hope

He does not think we can play 2 up top with 4 in midfield so we revert to 352 which puts too much attacking reliance on the wing backs ( Wabara and Smith) who only one of has the pace to threaten going forward)

    There are two decisions he is fudging;

    1) if 451 is his system, SW cannot play as the 1 so he needs to play the so far ineffectual Smith.

    2) he won't play a 442 as CH can't play in a 2. Therefore you must drop him.

Great post young nudge. Fully support your opinion and our manager.
Build it and they will come.
We muredered Crewe yesterday and had those chances gone in this board would be a very different place.
Build it and they will come.

Crewe offered nothing yesterday yet, scored 2 goals. Whilst the game was at 1-1 why didn't LJ play 3 at back at play 2 up top. Put Smith on way too late.
Scored 18 goals last season yet the lad only gets 10 minute cameos with us. Haven't seen enough of the lad to be able to pass judgement on him

Similar to donny a poor team who had two shots on target and scored two goals. We didn't learn our lesson.

If I was Pat I'd be reminding him that it's an entertainment industry not his own little scientific plaything and zero entertainment = zero atmosphere = ever decreasing bums on seats

To be fair, he did learn from the mistake at Donny of making 3 changes all at once.

Although I don't think it was a mistake; not changing the style was the mistake
