But I'm furious after that. A completely abject performance almost from start to finish. I've had a few people argue with me on twitter but I genuinely think we were extremely lucky to get a point.

Fell behind to a disgraceful goal to concede (don't think Butland covered himself in glory but the majority of the blame with the hopeless Peter Ramage) and showed very little fight to get back into the game. We wormed our way back into the match with probably one of the worst decisions I've ever seen go in our favour - just never a penalty, a clear dive that left me and everyone around me staggered when a penalty was awarded. Well taken by Tudgay.

Mellis then almost scored to finish a poor 1st half but was headed away.

I thought the first half was bad but the second half was worse. Flat, abject, hopeless for almost all of it. How we got away without conceding I have no idea. Wiseman and Kennedy going walk-about, Ramage dreadful, and Cranie having to plug so many holes on his own that he probably felt like he'd gone 12 rounds with Pacquiao. If Ishmael Miller had remembered that he couldn't use his hands, we'd probably have been 4-1 down.

The desperate state of our squad (no justification now for Dagnall etc being out on loan) is shown when M'Voto comes on upfront. In fairness to him, he executed the only downward header of his career and almost grabbed an undeserved winner.

Yeovil then somehow failed to score in one of the worst concentrated minutes of defending I've ever seen. First, a ridiculous attempt at an offside trap allowed 3 of their players in on Butland. Luckily for us, Dicko decided to trip over it about 3 times and then produce an awful cut back which we scrambled out. Dicko then beat Kennedy about 7 times in 10 seconds, and crossed for one of their players to inexplicably head over the bar from no more than a yard. I have no idea how we survived that 60 seconds without conceding.

If Mellon gets the job, I'll be volunteering for Saturday shifts. We need a fresh start and someone to look at these players objectively, because too many of them are either underperforming or garbage.

That fixture will be in League One next season.

I'd forgotten about Yeovil hitting the inside of the post at 1-0 too. I can only imagine how badly today might have turned if that went in.

Keep forgetting things about this match, which is probably a good thing. Has there ever been a player that looked more lost than Pedersen on the wing?

Mellis looks uncomfortable on the wing. Pedersen just looked completely lost, like he was in a daze.

Some of the criticism Mellis has had on here today is unfair in my opinion - only given to him because some idiot chose him as man of the match. There were plenty worse than him.

    You are so right

We were lucky to come away with anything.

Awful awful display, no confidence, no push, no imagination. When the board went up for 3 minutes I fully expected Yeovil to snatch a winner in that time.

Whoever you were arguing with on Twitter weren't at the game because you are 100% right with everything you said. Some of those players are nothing short of a disgrace and aren't fit to either wear a Barnsley shirt or call themselves a championship footballer.

I hope each and every one of them read this board tonight.

Sounds like I'm swimming against the tide but we had 22 shots,9 on target, on most other days that would have seen us through, whilst I'm in agreement we could have lost it,and undoubtedly had the luck with the one that hit the post at 0-1,their keeper made 3 or 4 worldies(Butland a couple of good saves too),
certainly not good but the lads gave it a good go in the second half particularly IMO

I agree with most of that, could have been 2-1 either way and more. Personally applauded their keeper on more than one occasion, he made some great saves.

But then I dunt care who gets the managers job.

To me, another manager has shot himself in the foot. This was a very poor set up for the team, they are, collectively, not good enough to play 442, so why do it? Pedersen was lost, Mellis appeared to be playing in the deep midfield role, with Perkins further forward, and he was poor. The goal was a complete joke, talk about the Chuckle brothers. I had forgotten about Tudguy for 40 minutes, and then on comes Mvoto to lead the attack, because their defenders are 12 foot tall. Does anyone do their homework? This could easily have been a 2-5 defeat. Definitely pantomime season, need for a change, and now.

It's just painful. Totally got sucked into the optimism pre-season and I've tried to remain positive through as much of it as possible but today just felt like relegation, from start to finish.

Yet we're not far off safety. It's a strange situation but you feel like the failure to beat the teams around us at home will cost us this time around.
