He's always impressed me when he's played against us. £1.2m?! **** me...have BFC finally left the dark ages?!
According to the Leicester City website it's 500K and another 750K in ad ons, so either them or our website have it wrong, with ours making out it's a straight 1.2 million from the start.
its says he moved from tranmere for 500k plus 750k in add ons not to us. its says it on his profile on the leicester official site.
As usual Dreamboy reads but really doesnt understand! On his profile it says - the fee is initially£500 000 rising to a possible £750 000 - but it is talking about his move from Tranmere to leicester!
Hume and Macken up front Would it work???? who knows but lets see.... getting excitied for the new season now AND "if" Davey is expecting Howard back (and he stays) then I can see a good team already forming and Davey has only just started!!!
little tip for you dreamboy Don't read something on here and then just repeat it as if it were true. Chances are that it's not. This is a case in point. A quick look at the Leicester City site reveals they are reporting an undisclosed fee, with no mention at all of £500,000 or £750,000.
There is this.... On a message board, posted by "Nick_The_Tyke". Nowt official.
http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=51483&st=120
To clear a couple of things up. I was at Oakwell buying a shirt when he had his photo call. Why Barnsley? Because of the clubs interested he felt we presented the best chance of a regular place up front. Given (excepting Howard, who is a midfielder) our most prolific striker notched 6 this season, that looks a good bet. How much? £500k up front, with 3 conditional further installments of £250k. The manager said he expects we will pay "about a million", so it sounds like 2 of the 3 have conditions which are likely to be met. That's all I know.

According to Mick McCarthy one time while he was co-commentating on Oakwell FM or whatever it was, hardly any quoted fees are anywhere near the actual fees paid. It's all spin, hype and bravado. Of course, that might have been from back in the days when brown papers bags and "meetings" in St Tropez where de rigour.
