Looking to spend less than £100. MP3 would be nice, but definately CD-R/RW. No need for cassette deck, just CD is fine. But I do want it to have a decent sound to it. Decent wattage. Any help greatly appreciated. cheers
personally I'd spend a bit more Denon have been great for me http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/products/details/index.asp?modelcode=DEN-DM33 needs speakers but you might have those
Try this http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...797438/sr=8-7/ref=pd_ka_7/026-1194843-1727613 Bit more than you want to pay (£120) but its got 100 Watts, MP3, CDR, CRW playback plus DAB digital radio. Really small, looks good, does everything you want and more and it's loud as f*ck.
btw The Denon that Paul recommended is very good And if you wanted to spend more then go with a denon, but for the price you'll not beat that Sanyo, which is actually louder and has more functions.
Maybe the budget should be raised? I suggest marbles at the top of Grannies stairs. Or a tank of water on Grannies stairlift. He could then focus on the type of electrical equipment he needs, possibly from India.
Always rely on TFP to pull a funny Well, to try and pull one anyway (neer) Thanks all for the suggestions. There is no way im gonna go above £100, in fact I would like to spend half that. I already have a good enough main system, I just want a small one with basic stuff for my computer room. Nothing special, just bog standard. I just want it to sound good, even when turned up a notch too high. But it has to play CD-R's.
RE: Try this Just how loud is F*ck? Some lasses have been really quiet whilst others scream the house down - at what point in that range is it deemed "loud is f*ck"?
RE: No mate, where's that? Theres one just past the University in Sheffield and one at Leeds. There is a website.. so if you do a search you sound find them.
Errr How about being really radical And get a decent pair of speakers for the computer and play your music on there, unless of course you want to game and listen music at the same time ??????? otherwise multitasking would work.
