It might be that Ward is a greedy little fecker who over estimates his worth or is having his mind filled with **** from a toss agent like Werling was!!! But this is the second time in recent years that we havent been able to agree terms with a lower league striker (The other was Constantain). It begs the question how much do these guys want and what are we really offering them??? Is the gulf really that big??? I think this answers the question why most of our signings come from abroad!!!!!! Hope he has to rot with Chesterfield for the rest of the season and then his career heads the same way Constantains has. Think he might have missed the biggest oppurtunity of his career (wnkr) (wnkr)
RE: I reckon it will turn out that weve been gazumped nt Probably, but it still begs the question how much are other teams in this league willing to pay a nobody from Chesterfield!!!! Its good we have a structure and dont break it for anyone, thats good business. BUT we also have to be able to compete for players in the transfer market.... Parachutte payments from the Prem are killing this league.... Shitfield United, Reading, Birmingham, Derby all have budgets that dwarf other teams and are having an unfair advantage
RE: I reckon it will turn out that weve been gazumped nt True. And whats worse is that some of those teams could sign him and not use him.
RE: I reckon it will turn out that weve been gazumped nt How is it unfair? They earned the right by getting to the premiership. We got parachute payments once upon a time. That wasn't unfair either and is same as it is nowadays.
if your going to jump to conclusions you may as well jump to a f***ing barra load of predjudice ones. typical
Are you bored?? Just wondered.... You appear to be trying to provoke people into arguing with you everytime you post. Its good to see no one taking the bait. Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for visiting the site
Of the deals that we've pulled out of I would say the majority are down to the agent wanting, erm, 'something' that we were not prepared to give. The club should be applauded for taking a stance on this issue.
RE: Of the deals that we've pulled out of Chesterfield fans seem to think he was after a cut of his new contract and think he's done the same to us. Who know's. Whatever the reason was to terminate the deal I am confident that Cryne and Davey have done it in the best it interest of BFC and for no other reason. On that basis, I'm happy to go with it.
That was certainly the case during Shepherd's reign and I'm sure it's the same philosophy now. To my knowledge there's at least one agent, possibly two, who we refuse to deal with anymore due to some of their demands. If that's the stance we've taken here then I'm fully supportive.
