Great win, great three points. The rest of the struggling teams must have seen that and been very worried as we now have the ticket to survival, strikers who can score and a CD who can defend. Nowt special about any of the goals as far as it goes but they were put away clinically by lads who knew what they were doing and did it well. My one gripe for which I will get slaughtered for I guess is that in my opinion Davey didnt inspire that performance, he picked the team ok but the performance was triggerd by the Magyars who lead by example and showed the rest what you can get when you put in a full shift at the coal face. It was them that got the crowd on side, they pulled together the team and the crowd just by doing what they get paid to do which is give 100% and want to win more than the opposition. Sorry to say my opinion of Davey hasnt changed one bit after that but if the players can pull together like that over the next few games we are in with a right shout now. Clean sheets plus clinical strikers = survival, despite Davey not because of him. Stands by for volleys of abuse......Chuffed we won like BT
that is complete and utter B*ll*cks.... davey bought them players davey picked the team davey gave the team talk FFS if we won 10-0 he would still be ***** to some.
Not quite up to the level of abuse I expected....standards of abuse are dropping, can site admin please drag the level up. BTW Would Rico n Nads have produced a response like that, got shared MOM and both got a standing ovation. Yep he bought em and yep he played em but the inspiration was from the players who wanted to win...the looks on the faces of the other players as the Magyars left the pitch said it all. I am dead chuffed we won but it wasnt inspired by SD in my opinion, if you read my post I actually was positive and said we now have the ticket to survive. I just feel it will be inspite of and not because of. I dont rate SD as you probably gathered BT
I got shot down in flames for saying that last night. But I'll stand by it. I think Pete n Steve's performance lifted the rest of the side, then again I think a BBS team could have put three past Hull last night.
Daveys signings, so Davey has to take some credit. We might as well not have a manager otherwise. It's far easier to criticise than to praise, as this post proves.
RE: I got shot down in flames for saying that last night. steady on now .. the BBS TEAM !! mind that clown mattis wouldnt get into the BBS midfiled
i think you have got to give him credit where credit is due he's a manager - he will live or die by his results. we won 3-0 he picked the team, bought the players and must be given credit accordingly in my opinion - just as he deserved criticism after the shambolic displays against Colchester and Sheffield Wednesday.
Heyup Baldy Tha knows I think world of ya, but I must disagree on this. Davey is not the man that should be running our club, BUT, he has found two **** hot strikers that just might fire us to safety, and also he has found the best 18 year old centre half i have seen. He deserves credit for that. Lets just hope Mattis is History, (at least for this season).
Baldy I agree. Anyway from what I've heard Alex Ferguson tipped Cryne off about the two Hungarians and that’s how it came about. Not much to do with Davey. Good performance and the crowd getting behind the team made a big difference.
but who signed the Hungarians? If thier performance was the difference ... you got to give credit to the bloke who signed them
RE: but who signed the Hungarians? No! the credit goes to the bloke who found them and recommended that we sign them.
You know me Sarks Owt to start a good bull n cow. Hope your alright n will drop u an email Get scouts over to Bulgaria players will be wanting to come over by the trailer load...oops soz thats illegal alliens int it...silly me. BT
I have always said we had an attitude problem There has been lack of commitment, and a lethargic attitude from some players in the past weeks. Not last night, The fact that the two Hungarians are totally commited to winning and this showed last night. It also rubbed off on the rest of the team. It has been a long time since I saw as much determination in the play that occured last night. Keep this up and we have no relagation worries.
To Clarify Davey DID NOT sign the 2 hungarians or Natanga, The 2 lads from Hungary were recommended to Simon Wilkinson and Wilko did the spade work, Natanga was also signed by Wilko and Shepherd, one of their better decision
